I am having problems trying to get the soup from Martin. I have made the sleeping potion but when I click on the pot of soup I get scolded by Martin. I click on bruno to try get him to distract martin but I get a totally different conversation, they talk about bruno's reaction to the death of godfried. I am going by the walkthrough. I am wondering if Imissed something

Be sure that you are in good graces of Martin first.
You should know the herbs that he used in cooking which Eladio will clue you on.
Then talk to Martin completely.
Then try to take soup with the crock when his back is turned. You can then talk to Bruno and convince him to distract Martin.

I did that in chapter 1 but in chapter 2 Martin isn't falling for the same trick. I have talked to everybody but I still can't get the soup

In Chapter 2, the trigger for the soup is Umberto.
You have to talk to him several times. You need to know that he's hungry and hear his stomach grumbles.
Then make the concoction with all the herbs - distill it and then get soup.

I am trying to figure out what I am missing, I have the concoction with the herbs, I have distilled it but when I tried to get the soup from Martin he scolds me so I click on bruno to distract him but bruno says something different from the walkthrough

You have to talk to Bruno several times to convince him.
