Don't know if it's just me or happens to everyone.

I am at the Interact homepage. I want to review my orders to see what I've ordered and pre-ordered. I click "Your Account" on the left side and got the login page. This is an unsecured login (http instead of https - no padlock) page. The email address and password is not secured/encryted and is up for grabs for anyone on the internet.

I login and reviewed my orders. Throughout this activity, the transactions are not secure. This is not safe as my account information are not secured and can be stolen by crooks and fraudsters. Did anyone not get the https (padlock) secured connection or is this just me?

This unsafe shopping will happen if you login to your account and review your orders. I think I will get https secured connection if I do a checkout.

Interact is just fine twenty. If you try and edit/open your cc info, it immediately takes you to a secured area.

There isn't anything to see on the unsecured part that isn't available in a phonebook.

Why don't you email Dave if you have concerns? Perhaps he could have explained it without getting anyone who doesn't understand upset? '

EDIT: Where do you see your password? It does not show up at all.

The site is monitored by something called Dotcom Media. It sounds like this site does all those security things for him.

To the best of my knowledge our site is completely secure. If it makes you more comfortable, you can always surf directly at the secure site by adding an "s" to the url. (I will see if Marita can change the yellow link above to go directly to the secure version). I will also check with our web admin and make sure there's nothing terribly wrong with the system currently in place. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

edit: - The Dotcom Media is a monitoring system that pages our admin if the site or database crash so it can be brought back up online as quickly as possible.

Thanks Dave, MaG is adding the S to the link. Anyone clicking on the yellow highlight will have a secured site.

If you change pages and the "s" disappears, just add it back in.

I recently was getting a pop page stating there is secure & unsecured areas...Click yes to view all areas..

I never had this before..

Darleen, that is your own personal settings on your computer that does that. Please post in Glitches and they will tell you what to uncheck to get rid of it. I prefer mine to pop up and leave it.

But...I never had that happen to the Interact site before...I have been ordering from Interact for about two years..
Its says:

This page contains secure & non secured items...Do you want to continue?

Darleen, I understood you perfectly, as I said, it is your settings on your computer, not Interact. Any one of your Windows updates could have changed your settings. Please post in Glitches if you want to get rid of it.

I think that (https) takes care of all the concerns. I certainly feel safe now keying in my email and password at the login page.
