Hi Betty, You should have two pieces of holed paper in your inventory. Use the paper from the salon on the metal panel in the library (move over the words to see specific letters, and left-click) and a code will appear in your Reports section. Then use the paper from the library on the panel in the salon, move this over the words to find the letters, and left-click. A separate code will appear in Reports. You now have two codes which you mentally combine to make the full code to open the safe.

Hi Betty, Have you measured the dowels correctly, and trimmed the ends with the file? Then you can use the nails on the opposite side of the dowel. The nails should be positioned as in this screenshot:

Hi Betty,
Have you rigged up the trap correctly with the rope? The rope needs to be stretched across two pulleys at opposite sides of the room closest to you, but they are both quite difficult to spot.

Elizabeth, usually the problem here is that you need to go back to the coffins and get a closeup of the numbers on the coffins. Once you do that you should be able to open the lock. Kay
Its one of those doors that needs a thingy thing.

Thank you so much for your help. You always have the answer. Betty

I did go back to coffins, noted names and numbers and still no assistance with lock. He still needs more information. I talked again to Igor. The only thing I haven't done is find the white painting on the floor called Genesis. Can you think of anything else. Thanks. Betty

Betty, here's a checklist that should get you through this problem: Make sure that you have left-clicked on the name AND number on both coffins. Have you also looked closely at the nameplates of the paintings of both Moana and Illona in the hall? Have you spoken to Igor, given him jam, and listened to him tell you about the moons? Have you spoken fully to Jada? The painting is just to the left of the door you first entered through in the Great Hall. , keep us posted.
