If not then go back to the ice cream van then the fountain and click on the fountain to get the dodgy euro coins and attempt to give them to the ice cream man.

From there after he refuses, goto niko's apartment and check the answer phone, make sure you grab the sweater ( i think it was from there). From there goto mountfacon (spelling) and use the screw driver on the fuse box in the square, open it then use the sweater on the fuse box to grab the batteries. Then check the fountain there and get the real euro's. Try to head back to niko's appartment, road is blocked. Pop the kids balloon and drop the ice cream to distract the dog. Now you can get back to speak with niko.

Probably not all in that order.

(Smacks self on head) a simple right click on the hairpin and, voila, problem solved. Thanks so much, kjos!

Do the phoney Euros show up later? I found 3 Euros in the newspaper the flower woman gave me and bought the icecream with that? Or, if you find the money in the newspaper, do the phoney ones not show up at all?

Really enjoying this game and feeling very grateful to the makers.

There's a red football shirt on the shelf. Pick that up and there's a note underneath.

I'm now trying to figure out how to get in my hotel room in England. This is the hotel that was in the demo, but it seems different or I just can't remember what to do.

Bristol, use laxative on steve's glass after wrestling, then water + cut pieces of soap on the table. Go upstairs (that one held me up quite some time) and return for another wrestling match

I'm stuck in Portugal trying to get chocolate from vendor. I've given him the watch + magazine and got the keyring/anchor, rope, broomstick, screwdriver and needle in inventory.
The first three can be combined and 'un'combined, but I don't see how any of them will get me my chocolate...

EDIT: Figured it out; quite simple really - as usual in hindsight

I can't seem to get the laxative, pharmacist says only for constipated people and George won't pick up a vial.
Never mind, got it after reading newspaper.

I'm in Portugal now and, be warned, there's a possibility of a bug when either speaking to the archeologist or trying to pick up the broomstick. Both locations can freeze, mine froze at the broomstick. So make sure you save often here, when you go back into the game it seems to cure itself.

Did you know there's a Forum on this game on the game site, most of its in German but there's some English as well. I tried translating some of the German with Babelfish and that's where I learned of the other freezes. People have posted with problems with freezes, but so far I can't see any solutions posted.

OK, I have the key which I've bound with the thread, given the chocolate to the kid, he and professor have disappeared and not come back. How do I trigger the bandits appearing? Why won't the key go in the cross-shaped hole? Am I missing something?

Charllotte, go back to Nico's apartment and look on the bulletin board or under the table.

Bristol, look close next to the statue...

BTW finished it late last night, had great fun! Just the part in the airplane seemed a bit odd to me with a lot of trial and error.
Most all other puzzles were more logical imo
