I am playing Broken Sword 2.5 and remembered that I never did the final part of Broken Sword 1 cause I died and my save was way back in the game..... Then I got to looking at my Stack To Play.... Wow, I have to confess, I still have Broken Sword 2, Road to India, and The Watchmaker to play along with several Nancy Drews from number 8 to 15, and a little newer, The Moment of Silence and Realms of Illusion. So my question is.... Do you have games still sitting around even from the 1990's / early 2000's still waiting to play? Do you have to have the security of knowing you still have games left to play or do you play everything and then go out and get another game? Maybe newer games came along and some just get forgotten? Ok, I confess, I have games still sitting there waiting for me to play. How old are your unplayed games? Koalanut

I have lots of games waiting patiently for me to get around to playing them. I loved Myst 1 & 2 so immediately bought 3, 4 and 5 and all the Riven games too. They are still waiting patiently Order all the new games as they become available, just can't help myself. As long as the games play on XP or Vista I figure they can wait forever. Had lots of Win 9.8 games I sold because I didn't want the hassle. I tend to play some of the new games as they come out and others just pile up as they seem to be so many of them now. Before I found this site, I found that if I didn't buy a game whenever I saw it, it would disappear, never to be seen again. Now I can't seem to break that habit. Now that I have discovered DS adventure games it's got even worse as I have them lining up too

I too tend to play the newer games as soon as I get them. I do however have a few older ones waiting The Feeble Files - I know how to get it to run, but it's a bit of work, so I'm waiting for my next long vacation. Barrow Hill - a bit too scared to start it, lol And then of course the 2 newer Sherlock Holmes games. Waiting for the remastered version of The Awakened though.

I too have older games to be played, but that's also because I like to buy old games (keeps my hobby affordable). I recently bought The Quivering, Amber and Physicus. Of course there are also some old ones on the shelf that I bought years ago, but the longer they are there, the smaller the chance that I get around to playing them. Secrets of the Luxor and Morpheus are among those. The newer ones waiting are Dead Reefs, Jack Keane and Secrets of Atlantis. But I actually don't like it much that there's a pile waiting. When a new (old) game arrives, it's never the first game I will play. I'm waiting for that to happen

Byzantine, Mummy, Alida, Gabriel Knight III all installed and ready to play on my older 2001XP. Dreamfall, Experiment,Art of Murder, installed on newer 2007XP, Overclocked, Nostradamus and Dracula waiting in the wings, while I replay Broken Sword I & II and now 2.5, along with Riddle of the Sphinx. Still waiting for the new Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys. That doesn't count what I have on the 2008XP laptop to play when I wind up in the hospital every so often. So it's back to work when I can. Can't have to many games or books in my opinion. Charllotte

And oh yeah.... I have Alida, and the Legend of Lotus Springs in the Stack too...Plus Sam and Max, Agon 1-3, Agon 4, Dracula Origin, Sherlock Holmes Nemesis, and Hope Springs Eternal loaded in the laptop, and just added Broken Sword 1-2. I did just finish Dracula 3, ND Phantom, and just about finished Broken Sword 2.5 and Time Stand Still the past week or two, so I am getting time to play and I could get one of the other ones to play except.... Isn't Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys coming out? I gotta get another game or two!!! Koalanut

I count at least 15 games I have not played yet, not to mention all the older ones I want to play again.
The newer ones seem to take precedence over the older ones.

We actually discussed this topic years ago. (Becky sighs nostalgically.) It depends on the genre and the individual gamer. In the past, we concluded that people tend to finish adventure games more often than they actually finish strategy games or action games (as I recall, the percentages were still low, with people on average finishing about half of the adventure games they start). Some gamers finish almost every adventure game they play. Hundreds and hundreds of them. Through the mists of time, Judith's name seems familiar as an "adventure game completist."

Well I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Out of all the games I have I only have 2 on my list that are unfinished and I don't think I will go back to them because I had so much trouble with them and I lost intrest. I play most of them at least twice as it helps if I want to help some one with them.
