I'm in the first chapter of Rhiannon and am trying to light a fire in the fireplace. I have the little fire bricks, some firewood and the lighter and according to the walkthrough I'm supposed to take some kindling from the basket and place it on top of the bricks, but the basket doesn't seem to be an active hotspot for me--when I mouse over it I don't get any kind of use/grabber icon. Could this be a glitch, or (more likely) am I missing something?

Thanks! Kristi

Hi KristiC,
I don't have this game yet so don't know the details of the interface. Is the kindling visible in the basket? Maybe you need to right click on it? Maybe a boomer who has played the game will be able to give us more help.

When I played this, I clicked the kindling, it was put up in kind of a temporary area til I clicked it again, then it went into inventory. From Inventory I could click it and put it in fireplace.

Hi, KristiC

You need the box of Fire Starter its called...Before you can start the fire...I believe its in the pantry off the kitchen.. luck

Also there is no glitch..You already have the kindling in your inventory...But you need the Red Box that says Zap firelighter..

A fire containing lighters and kindling alone will not burn for long. Perhaps a more substantial fuel is needed?

Thanks for your replies, everyone! For some reason I hadn't noticed that the kindling was already in my inventory--that's why the game wasn't allowing me to pick up any more, because I don't need it. The fire is lit!
