Hello,Is there a review and walkthru for this game? Every now and then, you get a gamer asking for a review or walkthrough for a game that has not even been released. Sometimes gamers will ask on the first day of the game's release thinking the review or walkthrough will appear like magic. Please be patient. You will also make life a lot easier for MaG as there will be less pressure in putting out a walkthrough quickly. Don't you want to try playing on your own first before asking for a walkthrough. I don't really respect gamers who ask for walkthroughs without trying to play on their own. Walkthroughs are meant to be used when you are stuck in a game. Now, to your question. As mentioned, Dead Mountaineer's Hotel has not been released. But if your BAAGS are itching, try this Dead Mountaineer's Hotel interview. It will help. http://www.gameboomers.com/interviews/deadmountaineerhotelinterview.htm

Sorry, but that is striking me the wrong way. While I agree with your sentiments in re MaG, what business is it of yours how people choose to play? If they want to follow it teensie, eensie step by step because that makes them have a good time, why would anyone want to sour their happiness?

Dragon -- I think you want to be in the naughty corner. You, um, haven't noticed the GameBoomers' Hints forum? Some people like to travel all on their own, figure out things all by themselves. Others want a guide or a companion for the journey. There's no right or wrong way. It's supposed to be fun.

A walkthru has another value to me and it tells me if I will be interested in playing the game before I buy it. The problem is I sometimes swallow the marketing advertising and don't have patience to wait. I am learning the hard way on this and so is my credit card. I have gotton burnt now twice in a row with higher price games, most recently in the last few days. I am still saying OUCH! If I had waited for MaG's wonderful walkthru this would not have happened and I would not have wasted my money deleting it from the drive at the 2nd chapter. Next I will try and sell or trade with someone from Europe who might want the game. Everyone buys games expecting different things and I am truly grateful for the walkthru's whether the game has been released in my country or not. I don't think we should be judged or hurt other peoples feelings because of the way we use walkthru's each to their own needs or motives. My personal opinion Sherryah

So your talking about walkthroughs - not the hints forum. If you do post at Hints forum - you can ask for hints only or shove. That way, the one answering can definitely know what the poster wants and not gather it from the way the question is posted. As for the wts, then use UHS hints that can give you only a portion of the solution as you want. As for the wts, you can do a search on that walkthrough and it will go to that part that you want and not see the other solutions. Or if you know the chapter and the name of the puzzle, it's easy enough to go to that chapter and look for the puzzle solution.

I can't understand French, but that doesn't appear to be a very good score. Thanks Slydos!

The major complaints about this game - as far as I could sense - are the mediocre localization and the few and easy puzzles. I do hope very much that the game will get a better translation and voices. That will be essential to receive a better acceptance. I've read the novel by the Strugatzki brothers last year (in German, also very bad translation) and it is indeed a very mysterious and thrilling story with a surprising end. It deserves a decent treatment. I'm optimistic too, because of the delay, Marian.

...... And maybe this reviewer isn't that fond of adventure games..... Good point Marian. Same holds true for movie and book reviewers. Question: What is "localization"?
