What a robust thread this one has developed into! Sam_123 show this one to your stoggy friends and you have the last laugh! I sit in church sometimes and watch these old ladies my age just mouldering away - not me!!!! Then they ask me to help make noodles for the church dinner and I replay that I don't want to work, what do I want to work for! And they get this smirkey smile and say Oh, YOU must play THOSE games all the time - and I say darn right. Well maybe not darn.

bravo Wow! this is amazing! So many of us "seniors" are gamers-I bet this is completely unknown to the outside world. If I mention games to anyone my age(67) they act like I've gone off the deep end, so I've learned to just be quiet about it, knowing that my mind will never become old fashioned an stale as long as I have games to play smile

53 years old here, and I can't imagine my life without my computer games. They have helped me get through many a tough time in my life (including right now), and the relief from stress, and relaxation and diversion they provide, are way cheaper than therapy!

Wow, I never imagined I'd be one of the "younger" members here
No offense to the "older" members

Reading Yankee Clipper's input reminds that I am also the ONLY senior in my world that plays games. Then I remembered that GameBoomer members used to meet somewhere once-a-year didn't they? Like a convention or something? Sounds like we "gray gamers" should be uniting somewhere and sharing that 'odd pint of guinness'.

What a interesting topic,
I am 70, and started playing Tomb Raider, think I did them all up to Angle of Darkness,
I was a great Adventure Game person till I discovered Big Fish and HOG games.

Keep going, the feeling great at the end.

Hello---JoanieS-----Yes, you can still play games in a retirement home with help from MaG when you need it. I live in a very active retirement home here in Florida, and made sure that there was room for my computer before I moved in here. Lo and Behold a small "Florida Room" all glassed in, hmmm----what a great place for my computer, and what a view overlooking the lake and pool, while I play my games. I will be 78 next month, and am currently playing "Murder in the Abbey". Don't you just love gaming???
