I followed the instructions in Margie's walk through. I cannot get the hay to burn! I keep clicking the magnifying glass rapidly on the the smallest spot as instructed but all that I am doing is making smoke and wearing out my mouse! What am I doing wrong?

I just kept clicking and keeping the spot as small as possible until the hay finally caught on fire. My clicking finger was seriously sprained, but it does work. Just don't overclick and get the magnifying glass too close to the hay or you have to click even more to keep it concentrated.

Use the smoke as your guide. The more smoke the better. Move the cursor up-down.

I must be uncoordinated. I cannot get it to burn! Is there any way to keep the magnifying glass in one spot? That would help a lot! I was really enjoying this game until now. Looks like I might not finish it!

I agree with you, Penny/ There's where i'm stumped also.

This one was hard to do just rapid clicking and see more smoke coming rapid click and it will catch on fire. I had a hard time with one too.

Still can't make fire. Still trying though.

Any luck yet Patsy and Penny? I'm not sure how to explain how I finally got the hay to catch fire. I think it was probably a lot of luck, but I found that if you click like you were sending Morse code it really helps. Have you ever paddled a canoe? One of the biggest problems new canoers have is overcorrecting. It's the same with the magnifying glass. If you click too fast, the magnifier goes too far, so I started clicking in a series of dots and dashes and found I had better control. It still wobbled but stayed close enough to the center area to keep the smoke coming. Good Luck!

Thanks for asking, Scarlet. I couldn't do it but my 57 year old son did it in about 15 seconds. I was so happy!

I will have to get my granddaughter in here. She's a whiz at this stuff!

This was the best game I've played in a long time. (casual) I will say the fire stumped me but my son took care of it. Really makes you activate your mind.

I did as ScarletDragon suggested and slowed down the clicking to a Morse Code speed. It worked! Now I can proceed! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!

The goal with the magnifying glass is to keep the spot of light as a spot not a bigger circle. I had to get it to the smallest spot it would go (about the middle.. it goes from bigger circle, gets smaller and then get bigger again) and then kept clicking quickly to try to keep it at that point as long as possible. It didn't take very long (about 10 seconds) and the hay was on fire.

That's the best way I can describe it. :0)
