Can someone give me a list of interactive HOGS like Mortimer Beckett, Mystery Island and Magic Encyclopedia?
I am really enjoying them and want to be sure I didn't miss any of them.

Great question NY, that's my favorite kind of HOG.

I don't think just putting them back would qualify as IHOG... what do you all think? Personally I don't like putting them back... it isn't much of a challenge.

We've left out one of the most interactive games of all -- Azada Ancient Magic.
The first Azada also had some "adventure-like" puzzle areas where you'd interact with objects in a room. I don't consider Azada a HOG though. I'm trying Escape the Museum again and it is good but very very had. The objects are very hard to find.

I guess a definition of what an IHOG is would be helpful. NYLady, would it be fair to say that your intent is to identify HOGS where you either find objects, or find pieces of objects to assemble, that are then used either in that same scene or another scene, to find more items or open up areas?
If yes, then some are more interactive than others. Hidden Expedition Amazon kind of tiptoes into that, while Samantha Swift, Mortimer Beckett, Magic Encyclopedia, and Treasures of Mystery Island are all about that.
I don't know that I would include Moonlight Sonatas. It's a HOG, with interesting puzzles, but not so much interactive in the same sense as Mortimer Beckett.
On the other hand, the Azada and Dream Chronicles games are not HOGs, but do have IHOG elements. Ditto for 4 Elements, which has 4 rather nice IHOG puzzles in an otherwise non-HOG game.
At any rate, I put together a list of the HOGs I've found to date. So far, that's 120 games! I thought I'd use that to ID the interactive ones, I just didn't realize the list would be so long... And I discarded some, like the Go-Go-Gourmet and Azada and Dream Chronicles games...
I'll see what I can do, but if anyone wants to help, send me an email! I have an Excel file all ready to send!

Is Hidden Secrets: The Nightmare a HOG? I think it is puzzle or adventure.

Dream Day Wedding: Married in Manhattan
Is this an IHOG? I played the demo and don't recall seeing it as interactive. (I could be wrong).

How about The Sultan's Labyrinth? Wasn't that an IHOG?
