I'm trying to get the pass changed from 2 to 8. The sequence in the walkthru doesn't work. Is this a random puzzle? Maybe I need a saved game to get me over this one. Any help appreciated!

The sequence does work.
Please start with a blank puzzle - no red lines entered.
Be sure that you have the #8 pattern at top right of the screen.
Then follow the step by step.

Eureka, I have found it. The next time I tried I was able to encode the pass for #8. Sorry if I bothered anybody.
