Thanks again MaG for another great walkthrough. I found the garage earlier than the walkthrough but went back to it to follow the directions. I left the garage but don't get the light asking me to help find the children. I don't know why. Can anyone help me here? Thank you for any help.

Be sure that you have read the diary from cover to cover. You should say something about the diary entry then.
Then you can go out. I also did not do this.

Did you get a new e-mail about news of a dead body found?

Next problem! My Cauldeon Of Rebirth is not bubbling. I don't understand how to combine the symbols of the Second Branch. I have everything in inventory and look through the microscope but don't understand how to combine them.
Any help will be most appreciated.

It's ok to stack posts if there is approx. 24 hrs between them. And you are always welcome to PM a mod if you are worried that any post edit may not have been seen.

Did you make the frozen slides correctly? Take a slide and place it on the microscope. Looking through the microscope you will see a different colour and pattern for each slide. Match a slide with the photograph that most closely resembles it. Now you can attribute a particular emotion to each of the items. You should have 6 photographic images.

Thanks Rushes. I did the slides correctly. I look through the microscope and see the design and color but I don't know what to do next. Nothing I try combinds them. I try putting the correct bottle with the design and I try to put the aura picture with it. Nothing works for me. I know which are supposed to go together, I just don't understand how to accomplish it.

Don't cry.
Now that you identified what is the emotion of each item by looking at each picture - go to the cauldron and place that item itself (not the picture) and its corresponding blue bottle.

Hi, I have a question. I'm at the beginning and trying to light a fire in the fireplace. The walkthrough says I need a firestarter. I have kindling, firewood and the lighter, but it still won't let me light the fire.

Have you listened to all of the messages on the answering machine? Did you get the Zap firelighter from the pantry?

Yes, I have listened to all the messages and gotten the Zap lighter. I even went into the unfinished room thinking I could grab one of the newspapers, but no go.

Jen's message on the answermachine is the trigger for building the fire, so you'll need:
-The Zap firelighter
-kindling
-firewood

Place the Zap firelighter into the fireplace first.
Add some kindling from the basket
Add the firewood

Now use the lighter taken from the piano to get the fire alight.

Here I am again! I checked every tombstone in the cemetery and went to the safe but I can't take anything from it. I went back and tried the cemetery again and again tried the safe. No luck. I don't know what I am missing? Can someone help please?

Joanie, maybe it is necessary to click on the portraits and/or read the plates below them in Boswell's office (and read papers on the desk and the diary in one of the drawer) and what must be done at the cemetery to be able to take what is needed in the safe.
