Has anyone played this game? I really liked the newer Sherlock Holmes games (Silver Earring, Nemesis, etc.) and came across this on Amazon. It's a little pricy and I wondered if anyone had any input about the game.

Hello pamvan, i started playing this game and really enjoyed it but then I got to a point in the game where it just crashes to desktop all the time. I do believe it has some serious glitches in it. Also had problems with stick pin in a scene where you had to use it and it crashed to desktop and I finally figured out how to get around that problem. I never finished it I guess I got tired of tryingto get the game to perform right. But as far if it is a great Sherlock game I would say yes but it did have its problems with me. I believe i purchased mine at Target for 9.99 they may still have some. Good Luck waveTrisha

Thank you, Trisha. Geez--9.99--I couldn't find it for less than 32.00. I'll certainly check Target. Again, thanks, for responding and for your input.
Pam

I think that it may be getting confused with Lost Cases of Sherlock which is a newer Hidden Object Game. This is an old game that won't be found in retail stores new.

Hi smile

"The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes : Case of the Rose Tattoo" is a DOS game from 1996 - an old but wonderful adventure game bravo

I played it on its original release and have re-played it many times since thumbsup

The only other places it might be found cheaper these days are probably at the Trading Post here at Gameboomers or other trading sites (there are a few on offer at GTZ) or possibly Ebay ....

Cheers.

In my not-so-humble opinion, this is one of the best games I ever played. At least I enjoyed it that much. I have started but then never finished The Case of the Serrated Scalpel as well. So far it seems to be of the same high quality as Tattoo.

Much thanks to Jen (the Fat Chick) who gave me an old DOS computer to play the games!
