William, a few questions: After you escaped from the hut, did you pick up the broken padlock? When you got back to the train, talked to Poirot and he told you to use the radio, did you look in his suitcase and take and read the letter from his friend? You say you got all the information from the radio. But after you got the answers to the long list of questions, did you ask Barnaby one more question, turn off the radio, turn it back on and get the answer about Toby Armstrong? Jema
Wouldn't that jar your mustard!

Hi,
I've done both of the above with the radio, but I don't know if I picked up the padlock again. I had already finger-printed it and matched it to... Matteo? Anyways I'll give it a shot and see if that does the trick.
Thanks guys!
Alright: progress but I'm not there yet.
I hadn't picked up the padlock, so I went back to get it, but I'm not sure if that will advance anything. I examined eveything in the inventory and must have missed Hardman's card, because it allowed me to ask another question on the radio. I now have radio crossed off in the objectives.
Unfortunately it still says I have evidence to find on the train to prove that passengers are lying... but I have no idea what that is! Is there a list of all the things I need to find still?
Thanks so far!

WRMW, Have you checked MaG's WT, here? If you need to add more info and no one has posted behind you, please use the edit button instead of stacking your posts. Thank you.

I have combed the entire train multiple times and I cannot find anyone else to talk to. I have done everything exactly in the walkthrough but it still isn't good enough! This game is terribly frustrating -- I just want to watch the ending I've suffered through the gameplay to see!
Is it possible it's not working because I left the train (and got kidnapped) before I saw my kidnapper leave the train, so I never got to see that cutscene? Any more suggestions out there? Or possibly any saved-games just before the finale?
Thanks (Bawdy: who was it you missed talking to?)

WRMW, I checked my saves and don't have any for this game. We'll have to wait for someone who has some.

Hi WRMW, I have a save at the very end of the game that you can use, but you will need to either add your e-mail address to the public e-mail box in your profile, or send it to me in a PM.

Ok this is getting quite rediculous!
Thanks so much for your help so far -- it just hasn't worked yet! Rushes: Thank you for the saved game. It works just fine, but I have the exact same problem again... I load up your game and it looks surprisingly like mine (both were even saved in poirot's room). I am sure it is yours however because of the save date on the file (2 years ago). In any case I have the same unfinished task in poirot's instructions! I went through talking to everyone again in your game (everyone the walkthrough says I should be able to find), checked all the inventory items to see if I could trigger anything to no avail.
Do you remember if your game had a task unfinished? Or was it ready to trigger the ending? If it was then it's a problem with my program itself -- and I'm not sure what I can do about that!!!
Thanks for everything so far though -- you have all been so helpful! (Bawdy: I suspect the character you missed was doctor constantine, who is not obvious sitting behind the count and countess in the restaurant car)

SUCCESS!
Thanks everyone for all the help. Unfortunately, I didn't have much success with MaG's savegame (it was right before Part III and wouldn't trigger and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why). In one last act of desperation, I went back to my original save and walked through everything step by step. Apparently I had missed finding a postcard in greta ohlsson's suitcase (which I found odd, because I have memory of having found the postcard before) but it was enough to trigger the ending.
But thanks for all your support -- you guys are a gift to the adventuregaming community. I love the helpful atmosphere here. I can now finally finish this bloody game (unfortunately one of my least favorite in ages) and move on to further adventures!
Thanks again William
