Hi shutterbug,

The trick is just to use just the one sheet of paper for printing the instructions.

After you have printed the first sheet, lay it on the dryer but don't switch the dryer on - it's just a holding area.

Set up the second plate, ink it, then place the sheet from the dryer onto the ink, and press it. Then repeat the process until you have printed all the plates, using the same sheet of paper.

Only then should you turn on the dryer and dry the finished paper. luck

Oh no! Did you manage to print all the plates? You should have four of them appear above the printing machine. You won't be able to make the jetpack co-operate until you've printed the sheet correctly. Once the sheet is in your inventory, keep checking it for reference while you're pressing buttons and turning dials on the jetpack.

Yes, I printed the sheets and even (gulp) checked it against the walkthrough. It is correct. I did the hint with the slider (cool beans!)and followed the steps in order.

I'm just stuck!

shutterbug, can you send me your last saved game, and I'll take a look and see what the problem might be?

If you mean the in dollhouse after stuffing the sheep doll to get the last plate, yes; there is still another slot in the doll bin left for another doll, though. I'm sure I'll find that one once I get past the jet pack and play with the dolls once again.

I'll see if I can get my hubby sleep to help me get it off to you. grin

Looking in files and such without messing things up in the C drive is a lock for which I have yet to find the key. oops

Okey doke. grin

The saved game folder is in My Documents, if that's any help. luck

Edit: Received the save, thanks. I moved Nancy off the path and into the main castle grounds, and the jetpack started right up without a problem. Sending the save back to you now. wave

Hey Rushes,

I used your stradegy for the jetpack about the cursor and dragging it. It worked perfectly. Thanks to you I can go on and fly.

thanks from me too. Although I now have no limbs or digits left, I was able to use your strategy of the cursor. Combined with moving onto the road it worked great . Thanks so much

I have done all of the steps, too and the jetpack keeps blowing up. It is really frustrating because I have followed two walkthroughs (with pictures) re-done the printing press and it appears to be correct but I still blow up. I could really use a saved game but I am not sure what to do with it when I get it, In other words, how do I put a saved game into my game? I am playing on the Junior level and haven't enjoyed this game because there are so many tedious things like this to deal with. I am just trying to finish it. If there is an extra tip someone has found that worked for them on how to get the jetpack started, I am all ears.

Thanks

Hi Gatsbygirl. I just finished the jet pack using the hint given by Rushes (bless her) and it worked for me. Try going out onto the road to set it up and then when you have to click on the lever use Rushes tip Put your cursor on the left up by the halfway mark and hold it down . When the lever goes right up to halfway mark, not stopping at the 1/4 mark the jet pack will work. luck

Glad that the jetpack tip worked for you, kim. smile

gatsbygirl, in case you still have problems with this I'll send across a save to you with instructions on how to install it. Check your e-mail in a few minutes. wave

Thanks! I figured out what I did wrong. I read through some of the earlier posts about this and one of them said to dry the final paper after you have the instructions. I had done everything correctly but hadn't put it on the dryer! Once I did that, I was able to start the jetpack.

Thanks for the game and the save info. I will read that so in the future I will know how to use a saved game. Now I am working on the stupid chemicals, and of course, that isn't going well either. It seems like this game has had one puzzle after another and it is really getting on my nerves. I can't wait to finish it and move on to a different game.

I am in awe of all of you who seem to play this game, and many others, so effortlessly. Wish I knew your secrets!

Thanks for your help.

Hi chimes, welcome to GameBoomers. The save's on its way to you.

Glad you figured it out, gatsbygirl. yay Now you won't lose any of your own game progress. Good luck with the chemicals, that's a toughie.
