I guess the person who reviewed it isn't a casual game fan. laugh

Or, probably more likely, not a fan of average quality casual games that are marketed and priced as adventure games, while being falsely toted as being part of a popular and well-regarded series. lol

I honestly don't think I've ever been more disappointed. I have all of the CSI games and was so excited about this new one and here it is a HOG. I love HOG's but you kind of expect more of the CSI games because of the ones that are already out there. Not to mention that they witheld the fact that it was more of a casual game than and adventure. I don't even know if I will download it when/if bigfish gets it.....

I feel the same way that all of you feel. I was very surprised when I went to my first murder scene and it said I had to locate these items in the scene. It reminds me more of Women's Murder Club then anything else. Although the story was very interesting and I of course had to finish the episodes to find out who killed whom I can't believe the cast of this show would leaned their voices to a game and then when the game comes out they find out that it was a hog and not an actual adventure game. I feel really bad for ubisoft if they didn't realize what they were getting into.

What a disappointment. I really liked the other CSI games and was looking forward to this one. I do like HOGs, but the other CSI games were a nice variation on the adventure game style.

Certainly would not pay $30 for it. cry

I've already ordered this, being a huge fan of the previous CSI games, but luckily my order was delayed.

I think I'll cancel it until the price comes down.
Like you other CSI fans who had become excited by the new title, I'm now feeling pretty disappointed. cry

Thank goodness I read this thread, though. smile

I wish I had read this before I bought it too. Until I saw that this thread was in the casual gaming section I was under the impression this game was like all the other CSI's. I wish I could un-order it.

Tina, this thread was posted in The Adventure forum until we found out it was casual (after the release). There is a thread on that Here.

Sorry that many of you bought with the impression it was a sequel to the series, I too had purchased mine before I found out.

I got my copy from Amazon yesterday. I was planning to return it not opened, but changed my mind and started playing. I'm glad I did it. In spite of everything I'm enjoying the game. It's a very good casual game, the story (the first case) is interesting, the mini games are not difficult and relevant to the CSI technics, there is no timer, fast hints restoring...In general, I started forgetting about the lost of money.

I love HOGs so I will pick this up just not for 29.99. It seems game corps have finally realized that there is a very big market for Casual Games and there are tons of folks who play both hardcore games as I am playing Fallout 3 and casual games. It's too bad it's not more clear. They would have probably still sold a ton by marketing the game like the Women's Murder Club game.

Okay, so I've been playing the game for about an hour and a half. Although it's not like the others in the series, it's still a step above a standard HOG. There still is a little bit of problem solving and interrogation. I think it's a good mix of the two. Granted, I wished I'd waited for it to be on BigFish, but am still not as disappointed as I thought I was going to be.
