BigFish took it off because of the bugs. We'll see if they get it back.

Big Fish doesn't have it at the moment. They took it down because so many people were having technical problems with it. Now that a patched version is available they may get it back, but at the moment it isn't there.

Does anyone know if the locations are in true 3D? It looked a bit like that from the trailer.

Has anyone that couldn't play this game before been able to finally play the patched version? I was one of the ones who had all the problems. I don't mind paying for the game, if it's good, but I don't want to have issues like I had before. And, because it's not BFG, I'm not sure customer service will be as GREAT as BFG is.

There's a Youtube video of the trailer here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dVt00P51hs

The first part is all cut scenes, but later in the trailer it shows some of the gameplay. At least part of it appears to be point-and-click -- where you're examining the evidence you've collected, you see a cursor. But I can't tell what the controls are in the 3D part where you're examining the crime scene.

It's back up on Big Fish, and I just played through. It's got mouse controls and keyboard controls. I'm still pretty excited by it, I mean the scenes are real 3D - you can move around compltetely and examine things, very much like MCF but with more movement, and actual film parts. I liked it a lot. Feels like this is a direction that MCF could move in too? I hope so, because it would be amazing to walk through Ravenhearst the way you move through the Mansion in Casebook.

Very nice!

Does anyone know if the problems with this have been fixed yet? I would like to play it, but not if all the bugs haven't been worked out yet. Thanks

Excellent. I'm redownloading it now since I had some issues previously as well.

The download is huge for a casual game: 945.53 MB according to Big Fish's download page. That's about a CD and a half worth of data to download. Most casual games are less than 100 MB.

It isn't a casual game. It is a large file adventure game. It's a pretty entertaining game.

Thanks for the info. I posted at Casual games because that's what I thought this game was. I can't decide between this game and The Color of Murder. duh

I just installed the game and I'm having an awful time trying to play it. It's the most awkward controls I've ever seen. I'm hanging somewhere under the ceiling and looking down on the scene from that height. I can't come close enough to the object to take a picture, I'm still too far(or too high). It takes many efforts to get to something in the room. I tried both the mouse and the arrows, no way to reach the object close. And of course all that rotating of the scene gave me an instant headache. Please tell me there is some way to improve or correct my movements or this game is lost for me. frown

I am having the same issues but I am used to it from other games with panning like that. I have not found a way around it. I just laugh at the silly ways I find myself and go on. lol

I see, but still how can I get into position to take a picture? I couldn't even manage to take the footprint pic so far, it's too frustrating...Also I didn't get it how to save here, does it do automatically?
