I can't figure this out: Is the Moorhuhn Big Adventure an adventure game or a casual game?

It looks to be an adventure game: Both games are point-and-click driven, inventory based and played from a third person's perspective.

I've not heard of it before - unless it was mentioned here previously and I completely missed it.

On German sites it's called a classic P&C adventure. Although it's rather short, it should be fun. I'll try to get some more info.

Edit: It IS a real adventure game!

Be aware you get the right Moorhuhn game! There are more but most of them are action games.

I somehow didn't hear of the Moorhuhn adventure games until now. I will be in Germany next week for two days and I'll try to find them. When I know more, I'll post here.

Any further info would be great. I missed this entirely too.

The German releases were in 2003 and 2004.

I just heard back from GotGame and they do not know where the blogger got his info, but Got Game is not releasing these titles.

Does anyone know -- have the games been released in English?

As far as I know, not yet Becky. I was able to get both titles in a store in Germany, got the both of them for just €5! I'll install them tonight and will give some more detailed information about them then.

Yes, really strange. I've asked Phenomedia, the company who made the games, and they said they haven't planned an English version in the near future, because there is a problem to translate the puzzles that are partially based on German weasel words and they haven't given the license to GotGames either. I wonder, how this offer found its way to Amazon anyway? Was this all made out of thin air?

I was even a bit more puzzled, when I saw that at least Austrian publisher Jowood (the guys who bought The Adventure Company) could transfer some of those hard to translate puzzles into a Nintendo DS game:

This NDS game seems to extract only the minigames out of the adventure game, I think.
