Wow !! So "going to the party" held some of the answers !! I have never actually been to the party. Somehow I've never triggered whatever was needed to get an invitation. [So I never got to wear my lampshade ]

That shall remain to be seen!
I keep meaning to make this comment, but always forget. I always enjoy the artwork in this game enormously. I pore over the details of each of the scenes while the game is loading and almost always find a new detail.

Did you get the artbook with the original game Drac? Very, very nice. Good luck with those pompous guys!

Templeton, there are 2 guys in that store--one will sell to you--the other will reforge your sword. In order to do so though, you need 3 pieces of meteorite for the steel sword or 3 runes for the silver sword and money. If you don't have those in your inventory, then you can't get the sword reforged.

Thanks I thought it would bring up something where I drag the meteorite onto my sword and it shows it happening to some degree. It literally just clicked that what the store brought up could be the forged sword. Is there some sort of penalty for using different coloured meteorite? I don't think the bonus effects added up quite right for the sword?

The meteorite said 20% damage bonus I thought, but the sword only said 10%.
So that's where my confusion stemmed from I believe.
Edit: even worse, it's only 5%! I thought what the meteorite said is what you'd get, but obviously not.

What happens is that you have to buy the sword back. I temporarily dropped my newly forged (and purchased) sword and picked up the old one. Then I sold it and came back and picked up my new sword.
You're not alone. I don't know that I ever figured out how the forging worked the first time I played this game!
Nickie, I don't think I got anything on the art with my original game. I'll have to go check the box.

Yeah, I think you have to do the swap fairly quickly.

Don't worry about the swords too much. Harval is a good sword and I always use it until something better -- and free -- comes along.
In my last game I didn't bother spending money on reforging my silver sword -- I just waited until something better came along. I used oils instead; your basic silver sword with the right oil for the specific occasion is pretty deadly.

Diamond Dust is a pretty good enhancement too.
I haven't spent much effort on forging swords before, but in this game I'm going ahead a spending the money! In my other 2 games, I ended up with over 20,000 orens and nothing to spend it on.
