Frogwares Studio and Focus Home Interactive are pleased to reveal the very first screenshots of Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper that will be released for PC in March 2009. Recognized as one of the best adventure games and applauded by the press around the world, Sherlock Holmes is back with probably the series’ most terrifying investigation. The player will launch into the hunt for the most dangerous serial killer in England’s history: Jack the Ripper. 1888, London, Whitechapel district, a horrible series of crimes takes place in this East End district, atrociously mutilated women are found dead. The police has a hard time finding a serious lead and the murders continue, creating a real psychosis. Sherlock Holmes sets out to find clues in the dark, gloomy streets of Whitechapel searching for the macabre trail of the one that the press calls Jack the Ripper. During the terrifying adventure, Sherlock will attempt to shed some light on the mystery that shrouds the identity and motive of the one who hides behind the terrifying nickname.
Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper will offer players two different 3D view modes, a third person view in the pure adventure game point & click style and a first person view. The player will be able to play in one or the other modes or even combine them for greater immersion in this terrifying adventure. Other novelty, the player will also be able to use an original system for piecing together crimes in order to test hypotheses as the investigation progresses to find the terrifying serial killer’s bloody trail. You can have a look at the new screenshots HERE and the Sherlock Holmes site is HERE.

Gosh..seems like another good one in their series. I haven't been able to enjoy any they've done since Sherlock Holmes and the Mummy..their games now won't work on my pc anymore..(could be my video card Nvidia FX5200..don't know - can play other newer games though-finished Rhiannon, Dracula Origin, The Lost Crown and working on Dracula 3!)..glad to know more adventure games afoot!!

No, Jack the Ripper is a different game. It is a good one though if you haven't played and 9.99 is a great price. ana

They are completely unrelated My9. One is a Sherlock series game and the other is a standalone Jack the Ripper. Just like the multiple games focusing on Dracula. Ana

Seeing that I have always been a fan of the sherlock Holmes character, and am also highly interested in the mystery of who Jack the ripper was,(I am even member of a site who solely covers the jack the ripper mystery) and have about 20 books about this subject, this game will be on top of my wanna have games. The screenshots are great and look quit realistic. Thanks a lot, frogwares (and carla too! ) rob
