I was never into Match 3 games until recently and found I do enjoy playing them windowed if I'm downloading a large file. Some that I tried and thoroughly enjoyed (do like the ones that have a bit of a story line)are:
Age of Emerald - nice graphics and building a cute little village Pirate Island - got a good chuckle from the dancing skeletons though the music became monotonous after awhile. Enchanted Cavern - very nice graphics Seasons - again good graphics. Haven't played the second one but looks like it may be shorter than the first. Monarch King
All these can be found on BFG.
If there are others, hope you'll list them.

4 Elements is a bit of a different type of match three where you match chains instead of swapping. I like it a lot.
Ancient Quest of Saqqarah is also a bit different in that the are different types of matches you need to make depending on what temple you're in.
7 Wonders: Treasures of Seven is a little bit of a standard match 3 (swap) with a twist in that the game board rotates after you finish the screen so that you need to move pieces to a specific place.
Call of Atlantis has some HOG elements thrown in.
All of the above have good production values. Check out the demos (all on BFG) as well as the reviews on Gamezebo. I like all 4 of these because they're slightly different from the standard match 3 game.

Good ones. I think it was Seven Wonders II that was a little more interactive.
I enjoyed the JQ series as well, especially JQ Solitaire.
Haven't played Cradle of Rome; but will check it out. Thanks

I love some of the ones already listed but also these....
Ancient Quest of Saqqarah can be very challenging but alot of variations of Match 3 (oopps sorry misa, didn't see you added that one! but it is a good one!)
Emerald Tale A fun one!
Caribbean Hideaway Just discovered this one by a commendation at BFG. A really fun pirate theme with a bit of stragedy and sims to it.
All on BFG

Trippy, I'm with Koala--Ancient Quest of Saqqarah is fun and has lots of different twist. Puzzle Quest and Da Vinci's Secret are both lots of fun too

Hope others will find this thread as interesting as I have.

I don't care much for match 3 with the exception of Magic Match (Oberon) -- the Genie's Journey is very very good. I didn't care for the most recent one... Magic Match Adventures because I prefer straight matching and not the adventure part.
In this game you can make chains of matches with all sorts of things to help like tornados, bombs etc.... It's hard to explain but it is fun.
Prices are going up everywhere except in our incomes.

Two games I've recently tried and enjoyed are:
Fishdom - earn money and buy fish and stuff to create an aquarium. Fitz - this has been a bit challenging since it uses more than the normal square as your layout to do the matches.

Thank you LadyLinda, I completely forgot about Fishdom. I love that game, only wish that there was more than three aquariums. Koalanut

I just found it on BFG as an online game. It is just the first Jewel Quest not 2 or 3. If you like to play online - have fun. Kathy
