Peachis,

Did you place the file sent to you in the same folder you took it out of?

Yes, Peachis, the save I returned to you should be placed in the same location that you had found it in when you sent it to me. The save has a unique name, so it won't over write the original.

Then, when you start the game, a new save called "Crystals tuned" will appear in the "Load Game" directory.

Heheh... I share your pain on Vista issues.

I hope you can work it out.

yes i put it in the same place as my old one was but when i start the game you know where the load option is? it wont highlight as i i have no games saved but when i go look into my game saved files i c them there so why is this also i notice that my saved folder shows lighter then the normal ones like it wa a hidden folder if u know what i'm talking about,so im stuck and can no longer play the game because the dumb computer or the game wont act right so i guess i'll just have to quit and uninstall all together i give up it wont let me do what i want but i saved the mail u sunt just in case i can get my windows xp on here xcause i hate vista

I wonder if XP saves for the game aren't compatible with Vista? Sorry you can't seem to get it to work, Peachis. frown

So, you can't see my save OR the save that you had made that you sent me? Are you sure you are running the game from the shortcut on Vista and not from the DVD? Mine runs fine and I see all of the saves.

TLC, good thought, but I intentionally ran the solve on my Vista machine, plus, I have sent XP saves to Vista users before.

I am so sorry that you are having trouble. It's such a good game.

Keep us informed.

Hey Peachis,

Oh, what an episode, eh? We haven't left you. smile

On XP, it is a more predictable operation. The saves are NOT in the same place as the Vista OS. Look for them in My Documents:

C:\My Documents\myst4-revelation\savegames\

Grab the save that is the most recent and send it along and I'll help you.

Keep cool...

Dadguy

EDIT: Or... just transfer the save I have already sent you to that directory if you can.
