I have just finished Dracula origin, and frankly enjoyed it. I bought it because it was the only adventure game I could find and I wanted a change. It was entertaining, moved smoothly one scene to another and lots and lots of puzzles. It was a real change of pace from the latest games I have played, which sometimes are like watching a bad movie, with little or nothing to do. I would recommend it for a change of pace and its entertainment value is a plus. Hope there will be a sequel. Happy Christmas boomers

And now it's also available from Big Fish as a download. Wish I'd waited, but then again I like having a disk in my hot little hand.

That's the one from Frogwares, right? Cos if so I downloaded it some time ago but forgot about it. But if it is the Frogwares one then they do many similar games available as download (I get most that way) including a few Sherlock Holmes, Around the World in 80 days (remember playing that with Hubby a couple of years ago at Christmas), and also I saw yesterday that an adventure game based on Mata Hari is available for only £9.99 which might be a Christmas present to myself to play during my time off work.

I like these games as even if I don't follow the story nor understnad it all the times, I like the searching for things and particularly the puzzles.

Katie -- Mata Hari is (from what I understand) a casual game rather than an adventure game. If you like searching for things and puzzles, you will probably like it.

Thanks Becky, I'm just getting into casual games having really enjoyed the Nancy Drew Lights Camera Curses and a Sherlock Holmes Mystery of the Persian Carpet - for me they're that bit easier than true adventure games. Now, where's my plastic money!

I got this game for Xmas and just finished it. I loved it. Great locations and just a little gory. It ended like they are going for a sequel. I hope so.

I agree! Van Helsing makes for a great adventure hero.
