Good evening.
I'm stuck after getting to that gate with the alarm and green box.
I'm suppose to use the Multi-tool by dragging it onto the screen.
Can figure out how to do that?

Advice please.

Edit: you could also look at this WT Click on the game title to see the WT and other info.

Hi Chief
Long time no see.
Yes I had tried that before posting and it doesn't work.
One WT says
Quote:
After you have activated the multitool or the crossbow by dragging it to the screen

Hope I trying to drag the right thing.
When I click on tool item in the PDA I get equipment and then I click on Multi tool and there is a green icon that appears with a description. That's what I'm trying to drag on the screen.

Thanks :wave12:

Have tried to click and drag outside that lazy susan or PDA into the game screen itself - after a close up as Chief stated?

What lazy susan? duh
Is that the thing on the right and left side. If so there is no Multi tool on either side.
I'm trying to click and drag from the PDA.
I don't see a Multi tool anywhere else.

I called that place where all the inventory is located a lazy susan. It looks like one.

I thought the inventory is in a sack. It's been a while since I played this. If you have a sack, please check.

There is a lazy susan on each side of the screen.
The one on the right has gum and other stuff - it was there at the opening of the game.
The one on the left has the flashlight and can of WD40 spray.
I don't have a sack.
My problem is that Multi tool thing. There's suppose to a screwdriver in it to allow me to open that green caseing.
If I had Vodka in the apt. (I have orange juice) I would just make myself a screwdriver and forget about this for tonight.

Instead I'm going to make a warm cup of milk and dig out a few cookies, grab my book and curl up with the pets.

Sounds like a good solution RAL. I haven't played this game in years but I had a lot of fun playing it. Wish I could remember the part where you are so I could help. Merry Christmas!

Hi Kaki's Sister

I'm at the begining of the game.
I went from the Well to the Gate where I can get a Back Pack full of goodies. But I need to figure out how to get that screwdriver.

RAL,

The manual states:
You have 2 inventories to the left and right of the PDA.
The left inventory contains objects you picked up in the Tower environment. The right contains mission items belonging to you.
To use an item, drag it into the scene or onto the in game object you want to interact with. If that object can't be used in that particular scene or location, it will return to its place in inventory.

The PDA is only for information and not the physical inventory items.
Please check the right inventory to see if you can access the screwdriver that way.

Yes I've seen the 2 inventories. Neither one has a screwdriver.
The right one has a weird looking grey item. Wonder if that's the Multi tool? If it is, I can't do anything with it.
Will come back to all this after Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas

You should have 3 things in inventory when you start. This is strange.

Maybe uninstall-reinstall and see if you get the items.

Thanks for the photo MaG.
I do have that in my right inventory.
Just didn't realize it was the MultiTool. grin

I'll get back to the game later.

I'm off to Christmas Eve supper with friends.
Probably won't be back until the wee hours of the morning.
So :christmas: to all

Oh boy - another problem and I don't think there's a solution.
Steve Anderson in his WT states
Quote:
SPECIAL NOTE: Thanks to a glitch with the Quick Time movie, some people have experienced problems seeing the soldier on patrol. There is nothing you can do but come and collect the game files from:
http://www.ggc.u-net.com/raleigh.zip

I have that problem and the link is no longer any good.
And I doubt that anyone has a save for a game going back 8 years.

Oh well, that's life I guess.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

Good morning and what a good morning for me.
Thank you MaG
I have never doubted you hearts
The only problem I might have, but I think I'll be able to figure this out.
Mike Jones states in the Readme file:
Quote:
All places visited and objects collected are as if you followed my walkthrough step-by-step.

I have not followed his WT.

I had already looked at that WT - it's terrible in layout.
My concern is that I might not have done/seen things already done with this save but I'm sure that will become evident and it will jump out at me.

Another problem that is driving me nuts.
I'm in the Wakefield Tower Throne Room. I opened the trunk next to the throne and got the map. When I looked into the trunk I didn't see any ring pull handle and the cover closed on me.
I opened the trunk again and the same thing happened. This happened 2 more times and I just gave up until I get help.

Soren stated: Click on the tapestry to raise it back up to the trunk lid, then from the bottom of the chest get the pull ring that is the only thing in there.

The picture of the ring is seen here.
