For some reason I can't combine the arrow amd mandolin string to get a crossbow. I am this far and can't wait to finish...too many puzzles but good story line.

Hi gillivt, I've read back through the thread to your original post. This sounds like a glitch in your game, if you are unable to see any characters or animals at all. I'd suggest posting the problems you are experiencing over in our Glitches forum, along with your PC specs, and the experts there should be able to help you.

The clue is not visible very well. Only after you made it clearly visible, Van Helsing makes a note in the report section and then you can get a close up of the lock.
The Bass is the basis

Just started playing Dracula O today, I am stuck at the book under Dracs picture. I tried the examples in the walkthrough, mine was not exactly the same but I got to the placement of the Jewels and I followed the walkthrough and it didn't open so I tried them in diferent places and it still won't open. Anybody got a save after this part please, so I can move on. I am playing on my old xp computer, kinda given up on playing anything but the small games on my laptop, Vista takes a lot to run. I am running with just a minimal Radeon Express graphic card and it seems fine.

Jorja, I'd suggest posting over in our Glitches forum for advice. Also, if you need hints help, please post either in an existing Last Half of Darkness game thread, or create a new one. Mixing different games on one thread, as in this case with Dracula Origin, is too confusing.
