Strange. Would you like a saved game directly after this part, when Sylvie arrives at the Island of Gozo?

I played that part over and found out that the shopkeeper doesn't give Sylvie the key back until she pays him "for a professional job" with the 2 coins in inventory. The fish has nothing to do with it, but you do have to go to the sailor and give him the message.

Would you mind telling me how you paid him? Like did you have the two coins in your inventory before you clicked on the dialogue line and then did they disappear? Reason I ask is because when I played the game I had the coins and suddenly they were gone and I didn't recall using them. I was quite confused until I remembered Sylvie saying something about paying for professional work even though I never saw any money change hands. Didn't see the key either, but then I checked and it was nice and straight again (big relief) and in the inventory. I made my first save in the game just before I went to see about the key. I didn't even have the fish yet at that time.

Scootergirl, Can you send me your save and I'll take a look at your game? You'll find the saves in your "my documents" in the "CoM" file. There are 2 files per save.

Scootergirl, Did you not get my email? All you needed to do, was get the Maltese coins from the jewelry box in the study. Please make a new thread for Dracula 3, its too confusing to have 2 games in one thread.

The cap is hard to see but easy to find. Go back to the room where Sylvie changed her clothes behind the screen (right after you leave the tunnel with the platforms) and in front of the screen in the lower right hand corner you will find the cap. I needed the question mark to find it when I was looking for something else actually.
I guess I was too long-winded, wasn't I? BTW, I didn't know it was a storage room, I thought of it as the wardrobe or maybe locker room.

Hi Sali, You're welcome! I hope you are enjoying this game as much as I did. I'm still going over it in my mind, it is like I can't say "goodbye" yet.

Replaying a game isn't as much fun because the curiosity factor is missing! Then, too, maybe my memory has glossed over the parts that were frustrating and makes the game more enjoyable in retrospect. Right now I'm distracting myself with Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox and that's proving to be fun too.
