It's 3 degrees here in Western New York... Hog Weather. Problem is there haven't been any good ones in a while. Or, are we spoiled after having had so many. I wonder if anymore are on the way... sure hope so. I've been replaying some of the best ones and they are just as much fun. Now replaying The Crystal Portal.

Anyone know of any good HOGS or IHOGS about to be released? I need something to look forward to besides Spring which is a looooong way off.

I'm with you NYLady, it's about 0 degrees here in North-Eastern NY. I'm so addicted to HOGS, I need to play some every day, even if I have a good Adventure on PC and DS. I checked the list of HOGS and got the good one I missed earlier - The Treasure Seekers, so I'm all set for today. Let's hope BFG won't let us suffer for too long. :winter:

We do not discuss the Hogs that are being beta tested here and game companies rarely send press releases on casual games so I am afraid you will have to be patient and wait to be dazzled one morning by a surprise HOG to be downloaded. It's part of the adventure!

Spring---- I loved Treasure Hunters. Excellent Game.

Ana---- Sometimes I see people posting games they hope BFG will get, and sometimes they do. Don't the companies sometimes give like a pre release advertisement or something? (I know... patience was never one of my few virtues). But, I do enjoy surprises. I check each morning at 6 a.m. for a new game.

Ana--- Are you finally caught up with your "games yet to play"?

Sorry about the cold weather there, it was 88 here in So. Calif. yesterday. I also am waiting for a few HOG games to come out, so I know how you feel.

NYLady, BigFish only gets some games first. There are many companies out there that get exclusive rights to be first on certain games. If it's already available to download somewhere else legally then it's fine to post. I usually do not because I don't like steering people to download from sites that put stuff on your computer that isn't the best for it.

There are many HOGS being beta tested but not released yet, we do not post about those till they are released. There are many reasons for that, one is that the beta testing results should be sent in to the one hosting the test and not airing mistakes or faults of a game that may be fixed before release. Games can be tarnished by bad press before they even get released that way for no reason.

If I get a press release, I always post it. Very few casual game companies send them out though. If I get one, you'll see it stickied on the top of the forum for a few days. It would be nice if more did that.

I have totally given up on getting caught up gaming. It will never happen.

I agree about downloading from just any site too. Maybe I'll go to the different game producing sites and see what they are working on. It will be a long wait for another MCF, but they are sure worth it.

Candy... I'm packing my suitcase, do you have an extra bedroom and computer? It is supposed to be 0 degrees tomorrow and minus on Friday. They are predicting the schools will be closed.

i played a nice one the other day...but i got it from another site...i have gotten a couple from this site and so far have not had a problem (that i know of....) it was called The Book of Legends..but the way it ends is really the set-up for a sequel and as far as i know that is not out yet(not sure when this was released)..it might be too simple for some people but i liked it quite well. Ana, i don't know if the site i got this from is one that would be / should be recommended so i did not its name...they also have the Mortimer Beckett games as well..maybe you can give your opinion on if this is a good site or not. It is the only other one i use than BF...and that was only for the Mortimer Beckett games (gosh they're fun!).

Gamenut, you may post the name of the site, it is up to the individual member to decide where they wish to download from. I myself, do not post games from sites I would not download from myself but as long as the site is legal, there is nothing to stop you from doing so.

Thank you, Ana. I sit up at a desk all day so at night I recline with the keyboard in my lap and type. With the weather so cold my cats don't give my lap a break and I had to type around one of them and it was a mess. Hopefully hubby will be home tonight to share lap duty. Most of the time it's ok though because I don't use the keyboard while playing games.

We are under a Wind Chill advisory in Grand Rapids MI. Treasure Seekers was a good game. I am playing The Art Detective but it's a find the difference game.

I agree with gamenut that the Mortimer Beckett games are great fun. I downloaded Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox from PlayFirst a few days ago and enjoyed it immensely. It ended with a promise that a third game would be out later in the year, if I recall correctly.

Thanks Ana...i have seen posts about some sites not so good because of Real..and did not know if this was one of them..so just in case it was i did not want to 'steer' anyone there. But i have not seen this site mentioned in connection with those issues..but i might have missed it...so i hope it is a good site. I would have gotten it from BF but i must have missed seeing it!!!!! i love BF !!

Wow 2 fellow West Michiganders . It's so cold today that the cold comes through your gloves. I look forward to the weekends so I can stay inside. Playing computer games at this time of the year is so fun and relaxing after bare knuckle driving. It's pretty slick in certain spots. Return to Ravenhearst is a perfect game to play while stuck indoors. Have fun!
