Two qustions;
(1) Towels in Yanni's room are red. Problem?
(2) Can't talk to Lou completely. After Bill asks to have snow cleared, Lou won't say anything other than clear snow. Problem?

(1) You're in Guadelupe's room - she has red towels. Yanni's room is the second on the right ("Kalakala"), and has purple towels.

(2) Have you examined all the items in Lou's room yet? That might trigger some conversation.

In my game both Yanni and Guadalupe's towels are the same color, red. I have examined everything in Lou's room. He talks to Bill, but I don't get the conversation about his art medium.

The colours may appear very similar, but as long as you can distinguish which room belongs to whom, that's the important thing.

In Lou's room, did you open the paint tool box and look inside it, and also examine the colour paints, as well as the books on the desk?

Like I said they are both red. Maybe if one was next to the other they'd look different. Perhaps Yanni's will look purple when I need to tell them apart, but right now I've done that sequence five times and they're both the same color. Also, Guadalupe's bed is made.
As for Lou, I've done everything in the walkthrough. I can opened the tool box, but not the pastel paints. Also, are we supposed to be able to pick up the USC cover? I can't.

Have you read the notebook that you found?

Also have already tested those wash cloths with Isis?

Haven't gotten to a notebook. It's just my first check/cleaning of the rooms. I haven't done lunch for the first time yet. I've just started the game and don't want to have to go back when I'm almost done! but the towels in both rooms are red!

If you're sure that its red - then its red. Monitors differ. Just continue the game. I didn't know you just started the game.

what about the paints and the conversation or lack thereof with Lou?

You can come back later and talk to Lou.
Check your time and see if you have time to clean the pond as requested or talk to the different characters.
Be sure to check the temp outside.

I am trying to take the notebook and dirty laundry to Isis. I can't make it to the shed because I'm buried in an avalanche due to the noise from the snow shoes. How do I get passed this? I've tried turning around and doing lunch, but got the same results.

If you can turn around 180 degrees, walk forward to the lodge and look for snowshoes.
First report the avalanche.

I merely forgot to put the snowshoes on. I saved at the sign, so I went back and replayed!

Got it! Thank you! You must have the patience of a saint to have played three of those nasty games! I almost had to ask for a save for the chase at the end. I found myself yelling "DIE" at the culprit.

Hi:
Just saw your string here. Just finished the game also & by God, I so feel just like you! That puzzle would drive anyone wild & yes, die already to that culprit, he made me tired. Once I chased him for almost an hour & was about to give up like you. Thought each save I made in the chase put me there, but found out at GB, that you always go back to the start of the chase.
Anyway, aren't you glad it's over!
