Has anyone discovered some of the easter eggs in Casebook? I realised that heaps of things you take pictures of, even if its not evidence, has a weird piece of joke feedback from Pete the forensics guy ... like the wolf on the wall in the bedroom ... or the trolley in the factory ...

Can anyone put ones they've found here PLEASE? thanks

Can you nudge my memory on what was the quip about the trolley in the factory?

I had an entry here about secrets in Casebook, but noticed that smihly has done the same thing in the discussion forum ... so thought I'd just ask, instead, who is Burton? I KNOW I've seen him before ... can anyone think where? I'm certain I've seen him in something ... maaaaybe Law and Order?

MaG - the trolley joke in the factory went something like: 'somewhere, Indiana Jones is looking for this' - which i think was a reference to the final scene in Temple of Doom ... ?

And Burton? I think he might just have one of those faces that looks like you've seen him before, Greydag, but he DOES look familiar ... still, I went to the website (where you can get the game as well as from BFG, and it's actually cheaper) and I think they're based in New Zealand! so unless they filmed it in the states you probably haven't seen him before ...

I think there's a credit in the game. I believe he's an Australian actor. I will check to see if I can find more info.

oops Yup New Zealand. wink

I found quite a few - in Lionel's trailer particularly. If you research the records, Pete starts talking about Milli Vanilli! and ... um ... the buddha statue up above the bench ... and in the final room, check out the stuffed animals.

Hmmm ... poor showing on this thread. I think Casebook is the kind of game that deserves attention. The sort that people will look back at in 5 years and say, okay, that's where that started. It takes the idea of fusion games to a new level, and I hope people discover how crazily good it is, even though, obviously it has its weaknesses. All new things do. And this is NEW.

Hi smilhly -- I suspect that gamers are just starting to check it out. The game released around the holidays when there were many other releases -- it may take awhile for it to "register" with adventure gamers. Episode Two should make a big difference (due out next month, from what I understand).

Yeah, good points Becky. Maybe I'm just a real cynic, but so much of what's being produced at the moment, everything from AAA to casual games to adventure games seems, on some level, a rehashing of the same basic ideas. Real pebbles on the pile stuff. And then this comes along and I'm like WOAH, that's different, and expect other people to be excited, but ...

As you say, episode 2 will make a difference, perhaps pushing people to go back and play the earlier episode ... ?

Hi smihly and Greydag,

Are you both connected to the Casebook developers?

How's New Zealand? I enjoyed my vacation there.
