When playing the scopa game should you discard the lower cards or the higher cards and when playing should you play the higher cards or the lower cards? Do you have to beat Enrio in order to move forward or can you move forward without beating him. I have been playing this game for hours and hours and cannot beat him

Hi msblueyes, and welcome

If you're unable to pick up any of Enrico's cards from those he has laid down, then it is best to lay a low card of your own, as they are not worth so many points. The aim of the game is to capture cards from the table by playing a card of your own that equals those card(s) in value, for example, if a 3 and a 2 are already on the table and you have a 5 in your own hand, play that and you can pick up both 3 and 2. An 8, 9 and 10 card can only capture another 8, 9 or 10 if these are already on the table, and not a combination of lower numbers. Clearing all cards on the table at one time means a "Scopa" and gives you big points.

There are some basic rules of Scopa HERE which you might find useful. smile

Yes, you'll have to beat Enrico in order to move forward.

luck and let us know how you get on.

Thank you for the reply. I have finally beat him. I am now at the point where Nancy is suppose to go back to the ca and go to sleep but when i try to get her to go to sleep she will either say it is too early and doesn't want to go to bed yet or she will say I have too much to do. Did i miss something? I have all of the tasks checked off up to that point except finding out why he has a music box in his cabinet. Can you help me?

Go back to the office and check the contents of the cabinet close to the window. Bes ure to check the Scopa cards found there.
