Lately I find I'm not enjoying many of the adventure games I have been playing.....such as Dracula-Path of the Dragon...Everlight and many others...I hope to see Three Cards to Midnight released soon. Thought I would give that one a try.
Maybe it's just me but need to get some interest back in my PC games....I've played a lot of games in the past few months and still looking for that one that really grabs you. I did enjoy
Shadow of the Servants and Beyond the Spirit's Eye to name two.
I found many of the other games a disappointment. Oh well probably just me in a rut....will keep looking!

The last game that I played that jumped out at me was The Lost Crown. I haven't played anything since that affected me similarly---not sure if it's me, the games, or both.

Since then, I've been playing more Big Fish casual games than anything else, which has suited me to a "T." But I'm sure some really good full-length adventure game will come out this year that will have me returning to the fold. smile

I also have been playing more Big Fish casual games. Hopefully something great in the adventure realm will be released soon. I also played Lost Crown...among many others...

Darkness Within was very good!!!..very creepy...BUT have to warn you is a 'trilogy' and the second part is due out this year sometime. I found the 1st part very good on its own (except for me the ending wasn't complete and that is because ...there is a part 2 coming up!). Great sound and effects..wonderful artwork...i believe it will give you the 'jump out' factor in a nice longgggg creepy game!

A few days ago I finished Tale of a Hero and it's the best new adventure game I've played in years. Great story, characters and puzzles.

Try Mysterious Journey-2.I played it a long time ago and I am playing it again now. It is as good now as it was then.Beautiful graphics, many many puzzles, alien worlds, etc. The puzzles are like no others you will see in any other game.Very unique.

Mad -- I believe that Tale of a Hero is available (or soon will be available) voiced in English, but with Italian subtitles and items in the gameworld labelled in Italian.

In my country Tale of a Hero was released in December. This version even has English voiceovers.

From what I know, the game is also being already sold in Czech and Russia and will be soon available in Italy.

Hopefully, it might get released in "full" English sometime then think

Don't think I could manage with only English dialogue. Who knows what I might go and put in my inventory ?? lol

I think I'd rather it be the other way around, spoken in Italian (or Czech or Russian or German) with English subtitles and items in the gameworld labeled in English.

In the Polish version you put in your inventory for instance: kamień, łopata, kawał mięsa, kijek, dynia, magiczna mapa. wink

Good choice! A magic map is much more valuable than a stone, a shovel, a piece of meat, a pole, or a pumpkin. laugh

Hmmm adventure games that jump out at you. The ones that jump out at me haven't been released yet. I am really looking forward to Culpa Innata 2 and Mata Hari as they both look like they are going to be great. I also hope to see Once upon a time in Japan released at some point as I am really interested in Japanese history. I am bad for downloading games and starting to play them but can easily lose interest and just leave them half played or hardly played at all. The one I remember jumping out at me most was when I first played Simon the Sorceror in 1995 on the Amiga. The version I had did not have any voice over in it but I thought it was amazing, and that adventure gaming could not get any better. I think download sites should have more of these older games available for download. I wonder if Adventure Gamers would consider it, perhaps not as there is not so big a market for older games.
