Hello all, It's been a while since I posted here, but thought I'd let folks know that I just released an updated version of a small game of mine, The Murderer. It includes speech using voice actors (for spoken dialogue, not descriptive text), and somewhat cleaned-up graphics. Although the graphic improvements are minor, and probably nobody but me can notice any difference -- I upped the contrast & cleaned small artifacts on a couple of screens. If anyone out there is interested, you can find the speech version of the game at: http://www.freewebs.com/nameless/The game is a mystery/horror adventure, utilizes mostly still graphics and is probably not for the squeamish. There are a couple of my other games there too, primarily text-based adventures. If anyone tries out the PDA games, I advise holding off on buying any, as I'm going to try to talk their publisher into releasing them for free. I also have a new game available, The Lazarus Project, but I'm not quite sure it'd be considered an adventure game exactly. It's sort of a text-based, RPG/Mud/Mush game -- somewhat like a giant, online text adventure. It's free, so those into text adventures or muds might want to check it out: http://www.lazarus-project.net/

Thanks Nameless, I am a frustrated detective wanna be. So your game Murderer sounds what I am looking for. I am downloading it now.
Whoops question will this work for Vista 32? I see it says WinXP.

That's a good question... I actually don't know. I've tested it on Win 98, ME and XP, but don't own a Vista machine. It should work, but I'm not positive. Maybe you can let me know?
I haven't had any emails from users complaining it doesn't work, but I'm not sure if that means anything, as generally I don't get many emails from users. It could be they don't know that my email is in the instruction file. I am interested if anyone playing it does have feedback, good or bad.
Since it is an older game, I do recommend users run it in a relatively low-ish resolution though. It's an 800x600 game, so it will look okay at 1024x768 (black borders), but once you get to super high resolutions, the game will look a lot smaller and borders will take up a lot of the screen.
And if you don't mind a text parser, you may also like my detective game, Hollywood Murders. It's on the same page with my other games. But it's a text adventure with occasional graphics, and I know text adventures don't appeal to everyone.

Glad you liked it. It was sold by an Australian company (Nodtronics) several years ago, in their 'super-budget' range -- I think about $5 U.S.
They were allowed to sell the speech version of the game cheaply back then, but I just noticed they are currently selling it in some big compilation package of theirs too, although their rights expired last year. I don't mind so long as they don't charge directly for it, but it would have been nice if they at least asked me first.
On a plus note, they list the games in the compilation are compatible with Vista, so hopefully that means my game is too.

I have tried unsuccessfully for several days to access the site without any luck. Since various reasons are given for this failure, I can only conclude that the site is seriously broken.

I'm sorry there seems to be some sort of download problem some people are having. I'm not sure if the problem is with my site, or JA, or is just a temporary sort of thing. I haven't been able to duplicate a problem downloading the game so far. If it helps, you can also try going directing to the JA site for the game, at: http://justadventure.com/IndependentDevs/MichaelZerbo/MichaelZerboGames.shtm
