Just kidding with the title but I think I am going overboard. I love this forum and I joined for the Adventure games I love. I got hooked on Nancy Drew games from reading here and now Big Fish casual games- mostly the Hidden Object games. I had no idea casual games could be so much fun- I actually cancelled my CSI- NY preorder when I found out it was a casual game I was that snobby about them. Now I am so hooked I am buying more games before I even finished others- I think I am going overboard and will settle down - just catching up on the ones I see recommended. It has opened up a whole new gaming world for me- and never again will I be so judgemental about games before trying them.

There are worse addictions Bella and I think you have lots of company here. If you are having fun and can pay your bills, stock your fridge and get outside for a dose of Vitamin D at least once a day, I think you are ok. Ana

That's what I did when went for the jumbo pack--made sure that there were 12 games that I wanted to buy. Hopefully, Marian, you'll so better than I did in the buying. Averaged about 3 games each month for over half a year before slowing down.
Never resist a generous impulse.

If I averaged 3 games a month or even 5-10 I would think that ok. I have been buying 20 plus lol but as you guys say this will slow down once you have all the ones you think you just had to have Not really complaining- am happy to find these new games- obviously overload the first few months of a BF jumbo pack membership is normal and glad to hear so.

You know you have a casual-game addiction when: 1. You buy all twelve games in your Jumbo Pack subscription commitment the first week of your membership. 2. You comb through Gamezebo reviews and GameBoomers posts, looking for the ones that are supposed to be really good (and you study Ana's "best of casual games" compilation until you have it memorized). 3. You look at the clock in the evening, realize it's late at 11:30 p.m., and say to yourself, "Gee, only 30 more minutes until I can go to Big Fish and see what new game has been posted; I might as well stay up a while longer!" I will report new symptoms as I observe them! And, acornia, I share your hope!

Well game addiction is better than some other addictions I can think on and I keep reminding myself of that when I look at my 100 + games on Big Fish and 30 or so on Real Arcade (I belonged to them first before I knew about BFG) and then some on Shockwave, and then the ones that are Indie games (RA, etc.). I have found that I don't play as many adventure games as I did before casual games. It is easier to stop and start again with the casual games. Kathy

You came to the wrong place to get sympathy for your addiction BellaRosa. We're all hopelessly addicted to Big Fish casual games and will just encourage you to buy more MORE MORE. We are all so easily led astray when pointed in the direction of a new game. No willpower whatsoever.
I started as an adventure gamer too until I came to Gameboomers to look for a walkthrough and accidentally stumbled into the Casual Games forum. I was hooked (just like a Big Fish) and I've been happily enjoying my addiction since then. Never fear, it does slow down eventually and you'll start being more selective about the games you buy. You just haven't reached your saturation point yet.

I, also have over 100... Yes, I am an addict. I actually envy people who have a life away from the computer. LOL... wait until next year when I am retired. I'll probably be BFG's biggest customer.
Well, we shouldn't feel badly... as far as addictions go, casual gaming isn't so terrible. Enjoy those casual games... it's innocent fun and not terribly expensive.
You aren't alone... Google: "Computer Game Addition" and you will see a lot of familiar stories.
When I first joined BFG in 2005 I got the more expensive pack because I was doubtful that I would find a game a month that I liked. That was pre- HOG days. As soon as HOGS came out I switched to the $6.99 plan. I knew I'd always fill the requirements.

You know you have a casual-game addiction when:
2. You comb through Gamezebo reviews and GameBoomers posts, looking for the ones that are supposed to be really good (and you study Ana's "best of casual games" compilation until you have it memorized). Well, I have 2 of the 3, but I can make this worse. You know it's bad when you do Marian's #2 and discover that you own most of those games and can't really find anything new. I'm Nikki and I'm a serious addict. I have 150+ games and have only been a BFG member since 2007. I picked out 12 games ahead of time just to make sure I could use them all and got hooked into the HOGs and others. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter if they are good or bad, I usually end up getting them. It's not unusual for me to buy 8 or 9 credits a month, but we won't tell my husband that. That is so pathetic. BFG.. keep them coming. (One day I'll actually play some of the adventure games that I have waiting and buy the others that I haven't gotten yet. You should see THAT collection..)

Marian, I'll remember to check back in a few months and see how you did. :0) You welcome, Bella. You're definitely not alone and have plenty of company. I like the casual games because I sometimes only have a few minutes I can play (with 2 small kids around) and I can play for 15 minutes and leave without forgetting what I'm doing. Have to remember too much these days anyway.
