I can't get the door open next to the lab. I have checked
both walkthroughs and loaded the game on my other computer
with XP. I'm not having any luck. I started the fire and
have the letter from the book....etc. The door just rattles
and that's it.
Will someone send me a saved game?

Have you run the faucet in the bathroom upstairs and heard music. There's another clue to see there.
Also please double check if you still have a letter in the book even though you have one in your inventory.

Yes I heard the music and even played the sheet music after
listening to the stereo. I did see another letter in the
book and also had the same one in my inventory.

Ah - that is the glitch part then.

Watch for the saved game in a few minutes.

I don't know why it didn't have a number and date - the others did. It might be because that was a replay after I finished the game.

If you want to try again: listen to music on stereo under TV, play the organ music, turn on the faucet in bathroom...

Hello from Arberth Studios.
We are really concerned about this glitch so I've been trying to replicate every possible combination of actions that may be the problem but cannot find the one that causes the door not to display the puzzle when the fire is lit and Rhiannon's letter is in inventory. Nor can I get the letter to appear back in the book when it has already been taken. Yet this is happening so it must be that a certain order of doing things causes the glitch.

Would any gameboomers who have had this problem and still have the saved game where the above was happening, please be very kind and send me their saved game to info@arberthstudios.com and also, if possible, include a brief summary of the order in which they got that far in the game.

I would be eternally grateful as I am running out of hair to pull out :-)

Hi all, I just saw the posts from Kaz and Mag, and am sending the seven saves I have before Mag sent me the save of the door to Kaz.

MaG I CCed you on the email, thought you wanted these too.

There's a screenshot of the savegames with very brief explanation of what I did before trying to enter the room.
