I finished the retail version not long ago which although apparently censored had lots of naughty parts in it. This uncut one must be scandalous! I heard that this game is partly based on the book Brave New World which I'm currently reading. I'd recommend it if you enjoyed Culpa Innata.

Well it says there is a detailed complex history which might be interesting, as a lot of aspects were unexplained in the cut version. Maybe it would help to check it out more to see exactly how it differs from from the retail version. Would be interested to hear from others who have played it, and whether they think it is worth getting.

The game does have a full sex scene so if this would offend you, it is best to avoid. I personally was not offended, but it was explicit and not the norm in most games. The Uncut has added material on the ending and also all comments, one liners are now fully subtitled. Ana

Ana, did you still find it worthwhile playing even though you had already played the cut version? If so why was that - what additional features did you find most appealing?

I just tried buying it from Adventure Shop, but it wouldn't recognize my Visa card...so have to wait... Maybe your Visa card didn't recognize Adventure Shop. I've had my Visa refuse charges on things I ordered due to their fraud protection. You might phone up Visa and ask about it. Actually I recently bought Ceville from there and had no problems, so don't think that's it. The error message said it couldn't be verified... just weird, but I've emailed their support, so we'll see Oh, and I know it works, because I used it not more than 1 hour ago..

I beta tested the game so it had all the scenes in it that was cut from the retail version. I liked it better than the retail version because it had more depth. This should be even better yet because they added the subtitles to all the dialogue we have missed. Ana

No thanks, I didn't enjoy the original, why would I want to extend it? I have no interest in the sequel (which is not usually the case).

Hi all Marion has raised a very good question and so here is the reason for this... A UK or English euro version (PEGI rated) was never released until now. Had we been successful in doing this before now - we "might" have been able to issue the subtitles as a patch. The "maybe" is because it was a substantial code change requiring additional Q & A. The deleted scenes would have already been included as PEGI had no issues with these scenes for their 16+ rating. We can not update the US code with deleted scenes as this would violate the ESRB rating and other agreements. We could have simply updated with the added subtitles only BUT we have had many more requests about the deleted material than about the lack of one liner subtitling. So the solution (only one) was to arrange distribution (finally) of the UK/PEGI rated code for Europe and as an import for everyone else. Of course, people who have no interest in buying a new version for these updates, and enjoyed (or not) the original version in the US as it was - we certainly understand why they would not take a 2nd bite of game one. I would add that it is not about extra revenue (wish it were) ... with the time spent updating, testing and figuring out how to get this to people we may break even on this version ... we hope anyways. This was for all the Culpa fans who wrote, posted around the web that they regretted not having this version. So ... For those who wanted the full version with updates - now they can get it And this was the only way for those in North America...

So now the question that needs to be asked Gatorlaw is, will this be the same scenario for Culpa Innata 2? Personally I will not be purchasing Culpa 2 but there will be many who do I am sure. I actually had my interest on Destinies but that ambitious endeavor seems to have fallen off the map.

Well Destinies isn't dead... not at all. Still out there But.. it takes a great deal of financing (aside from considerable sweat equity) and we all have to buy food and such So meanwhile, Destinies team has been working hard on other paying projects. Jan Kavan on Ghost in the Sheet & soon to come J.U.L.I.A - myself with Burak Barmanbek/Momentum on Culpa 1 and Culpa 2. But, there has also been "quiet & steady work" as we can on Destinies. As for Culpa 2, it has been improved on all levels and we certainly would not make the same omission twice One thing about both teams and all the people involved in these many projects, there are much easier ways (and more income producing) to make a living. We all share a love of Adv games and making them. As gamers, we listened intently to what people said pro and con on our games. And considered it deeply in new design/engine creation etc. It's like your sig RNL- we are still trying to fulfill dreams that perhaps others have given up on ... I wanted to add, we believe from early response from others in the industry etc and our own ramped up (enlightened) design focus that Culpa 2 will be a step up in many many ways, without losing the heart of what we thought worked in game one. And one thing for a fact, there will be a demo before the game releases so gamers can decide whether this is a game for them. We think even our worst detractors might be pleasantly surprised by what is coming - but ... who knows. Time will tell
