RE: Darkness Withing: The Dark Lineage. I see that this game is listed in the "waiting" category, as is the Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. What these 2 games have in common is Lighthouse Interactive. I don't know what part Akella has in either of these games, but I'd sure like to know if EITHER game is going to be picked up by SOMEONE.

Apologies if I've done this query wrong. Just now, if I don't have the CD in my sweaty hand, I worry if I'll ever get it. I'm really not interested in downloading, either.

B, there were a few threads a while ago saying that LI has gone bankrupt and there is no news of the games being picked up by other publishers, though there is always hope

That's what I was afraid of. I did see that thread, but I hoped. I'd posted a copy of the real "brusk" reply I got from LI that answered my query re: DMH. You can look back at that, but they're not releasing it, nor do they have any plans for any reissue. Nice.

BTaylor -- I think Lighthouse would much prefer to still be in business and be preparing to publish these games for us, rather than having to send brusk replies.

I'm not in perfect possession of the facts, but from what I understand, their insolvency is the result of another company going bankrupt -- that original bankruptcy is having a domino effect on publishers and on distributors and now on developers. I'm sure the developers are trying to find other publishing partners as we speak.

I hope something can be worked out so that all the hard work that has been put in on those games doesn't go down the drain. And...i want my 2nd (and 3rd) Darkness Within games!!!
