Hi Guys I just finished the game and a little confused by the ending. Did she join them in the world that herr Dad created that keep her mother alive?

About the ending, when Eve steps on a platform near the end of the game, could that be a TIME portal? It is said by Brozz the Giant, in front of the Castle, that Isaac should be inside if he did not use a portal to nobody knows where or to any time. We know that Eve's mother is dead and that we do not see her father. One of the robot is Isaac's memory. So, why not a reunion in time? It is a Legend. Anything can be possible. Chief

Chief, that was my interpretation as well. What bothered me though was Eve never fulfilled any of the prophecies. She basically left The Crystal Valley hanging.

Venus, you are right on assuming that, but was it necessary to fullfilled them???? Alfred the Butler told her that Isaac was preparing Eve to take "this" place. Does this means that Eve must take physicaly the Tower (and the Valley) or mentaly by learning the life of her father? And then in the same conversation, Alfred tells Eve that she must find the path to her father. And the legend goes on..................... Chief

Chief, Not necessarily, perhaps, but I was disappointed that she didn't. After all, throughout the entire game, she was told about all of these great things she was destined to do. I wanted to see them play out. Of course, as a gamer, this is what I wanted to see happen. Perhaps, on a personal level, what actually happened may have been better for Eve.

venus, since they can travel in time, you may have there all the material for a pretty good sequel. Have a good day. Chief

Chief, true but Eve was told that if she took the journey to find her father, it would be a one way trip - she would not be able to return to The Crystal Valley. Therefore, I assumed this was her decision. But if the creators find a way around this and make a sequel, that would be great.

I too agree Chief. Especially since Dad is wearing the medallion-perhaps before he gave it to Eve? Margie

Hmm, my take is somewhat different ... I feel that it was all a dream and getting back to the farm with her folks is where she wakes up. But then, I felt that way all through the game so I was waiting for that kind of an ending, I guess. Oops, I hit the wrong symbol and the spoiler didn't work so I hope I corrected it in time.

Interesting to see two interpretations of the ending of the game: time travel or dream. Two conclusions that are not that far from each other. I wonder where I would go first if time traveling was possible right now. Well, for now, it is a dream. Chief

Oh yes, that is a great thought: time travel as a dream for now. I like that view of connecting the two conclusions, really works for me. I don't feel so "left out" any more.
Hi BellaRosa, Thanks for keeping me company.

Hi ramona, That's exactly what I thought too, so I made sure not to look at this thread until I FINISHED the game and knew the ending! Then when the spoilers showed up, I began to think that "ending discussion" was added later on, not at the beginning. I'm glad you cleared that up for me. I wonder about these things so I always like it when my curiosity about them gets answered.

Yes, I read it earlier this morning and they explained the ending and called it "sad" since all that was left was the farmhouse and the father and mother, but I see it as a "time warp" and escape it by having Eve wake up from a dream. So the sequel can go anywhere their fancy takes them, I should think. But then, in my case, the story was the least part of the game. It was the puzzles and the interaction of all the help quests that I enjoyed. Plus, I liked the heroine!
