I have saved my progress before but the only other file in the DPOT folder was a Placeholder file. I have no idea where the game is keeping a record of my progress because there is no file in the Rhem folder.

Also, I am running Vista on my computer.

There's some possible places to look for saved game files for Vista posted at the stickied thread at top of Hints page. Check there and see if one of those ways can find it.

It should around here:

Cab ride: ....................
Exit the cab and turn right. See the pipe that goes to the hydroelectric area and a ladder on the left.

Balcony: Go down the ladder on the left and turn right to see a letter and number panel. Click the arrows to enter F9. Turn left and press button. The bottom part of the ladder swings open.

Go forward and see that you are now on a balcony at the back part of the elevator area. Press the red button and it turns green. Hear a clink sound and this will open the closed door between back entrances of elevators A and B.

Look down and see a red concave shape.

I'm at the point on Rhem 2 where after you do the number panel, and you do it right, press the red button and get the third fragment. Below that is where it confuses me. Where am I supposed to go
r,r,f2,r,f1,push red button,f5,L,f7, into room.
R,f2,climb two ladders, r.r.f1,r, open elevator C door,f1,push red down arrow, r,r, open door, f2, r, push red button to open door,f4,open elevator A door, f1 into elevator A, r, push UP arrow, r,r, open door and exit?

Am I supposed to do this part or what? I tried following it, but it didn't get me to the place where I should be. Help please.

Those right and left turns, etc., are what I sent you. They are not in the WT. Maybe I didn't give you all of it so read the following.

Right after where you left off in your post should be (in what I gave you).....F2, L, F2, L, F1, R, F1, L to face wrong elevator ahead, F2, L, F3 to Elevator “A”, open door, F1, L, push Down Button, R, R open door, F3, L, F1, push button to open door, (which should have been opened when the red button was pressed to green at the balcony accessed by ladder after riding the cab by the glass maze) F4 to three panels on walls to do the following puzzle which will “TURN THE TUMBLER ENTRANCE TO 4th LEVEL SOUTH TOWER DOOR - See next paragraph.

THEN the WT says: "Turn the tumbler entrance to 4th level south tower door -"

I didn't do it......and if I did I'm not guilty!

ok, I think I'm confusing myself here. I'm in the "number panel" room and pressed the red button, got the box to open and too the fragment out of the box. From that room, (step-by step), where do I go to next.? I'm sorry for keep asking you, but this is how easily I get lost. Thanks.

I'm confused, too, because I thought that was answered in my post, above, which picks up where you left off in your post. If you want to, send me a save and I'll see if I can figure it out for you. laugh

ok, how do I send a save game, and if I can't do that, here is where I'm at:
in the room with the number panel, and after I got the fragment from the box, I turn around and I'm facing the blue dome room or whatever they call it. I need to know from that point my steps to go next.

IF you would send me an EMail with the section of the WT to me indicating where you are stuck it will be easier for me to help you. Your description in your post is too vague for me.

First of all, I played in XP. If you are playing in VISTA we might not can do a save but if you're in XP you can do the following:

Find where your saves for the game are on the harddrive. They might be in "C/Program Files/Lighthouse Interactive/RHIANNON" or in "My Doccuments".

Right-click the save and choose "COPY". Then "PASTE" that onto your desktop.

Then open an EMail window addressed to me and click on "Attach" and paste the save in that and send the EMail.

Remember, this will only work if you are using, as I am, XP.

I didn't do it......and if I did I'm not guilty!

I need help again, I'm now at the part of Rhem 2 where you turn the tumbler entrance to 4th level south tower; I did all 3 panels right, turned to push the red button, but nothing happened. I can't get it to rotate, can you help?

The color of the puzzle might be the stumbling block.
The picture's colors in the walkthrough might not be the same that comes out on your monitor.
See if there's a different shade of blue or red or pink. That is usually the problem.

It worked, I changed colors on two of them and the thing turned. Thanks for your suggestion.

Ok, now I'm at the part where you do the colord lit shapes puzzle to bring power to the bridges. My question is, how do I get the middle panel (blue light one) to open? The other two are just fine. Am I supposed to do something else before I can get it to open, or is it supposed to stay shut until later?

Go back to Railcar stop 4. Check the square within the square puzzle for the blue. This is the puzzle that activates those colred shapes in that room. luck

I finished the game. Enjoyed it. Now I'm getting ready to play Myst Uru complete Chronicles. My question is, I also have Uru expansion pack The Path of the Shell. Do I need to play this first or at all if I am playing Myst Uru The Complete Chronicles?

Glad that you got through.

Best to ask about Myst at Discussion forum. I am not a Myst gamer. But I think Path of the shell is the first one.
