Hello! I'm pleased to introduce Monkey Barrel Games, the newest developer to swim through Big Fish's fantastic set of QA hoops! Hidden In Time: Mirror Mirror is the culmination of over a year of designing and coding by my husband, creation by the team's talented artists, and QA back-and-forth with BFG. Our school-age daughter even contributed two works of art for the game. See if you can find them.

We truly hope you will enjoy solving the mysteries Hidden In Time and we look forward to hearing back from you!

Cheers!

I'm actually sitting here right now, staying up until midnight so that I can download your game, and plan to purchase it right away, as it sounds very interesting. smile

I will definitely post my comments after I have had a chance to play for a while...I'm looking forward to playing it. wave

Cheers right back at you, MBG-Gal!

Unlike Marian, I'm in the Central Time Zone, so midnight to you is actually 2:00 a.m. for me. I promise, however, to definitely download the game and give it a whirl first thing tomorrow morning.

I've always thought that release days must be terrifically exciting for development teams (and their families) and I'm sure that launching an entire year's worth of work is both exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time!

Hopefully you'll find lots of wonderful accolades awaiting you when you get up in the morning. Certainly, winning BFG-Guy's highly coveted "Pick of the Week" award (:)) should help to get you off to a great start!

Hello MBGGal wave
I live in England, so downloaded it first thing this morning:)
I played this game for ten minutes, liked what I saw, and bought it. Good mix of HOG and puzzle, the items are not all the same old , same old, and not too easy, not too hard to find. I haven't played through yet, so don't know if there any minigames that are different to the ones I have played. The mirror shine to mirror puzzle is good, drives me nuts, but is good, and the spot the differences mirror has my hands and mouse all confused! Nice variation smile Going back to scenes to find the key is good, and some nice interactive parts.
All in all, great game, I love it :)Well done to you all, it must be a great feeling! thumbsup

Hi Linward! Thanks so much for the early feedback! Yes, that mirror reflection puzzle still gets me...my devious husband has many more ideas like that. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game and please give us more thoughts as they arise!

Hi LooneyForLabs! Yes, this is the first game release...and WOW...what a process. I've known BFGGuy since childhood and my husband used to work with him at REALNetworks. So naturally...we wanted to join his pond. We spent about 1.5 years trying to come us with a brand new game mechanic...then turned our remaining funds to doing HOGs. Is has been a long uphill climb, but well worth it! BFG is great to work with and this forum helps us to see how much the product is appreciated! We know you all love IHOGS...so we tried to get a little interactive element in there this time...and will try for more in the future. The story is all original and we had tons of fun with it. Hope you enjoy it! Please let us know of any suggestions!

Hi,

Played the hour trial, and kind of swept through the story, played timed mode and there was lots of time.

Great game, great atmosphere, and I think, a great story. When I buy it it will then start over and follow the story.

Great job!!

MBG Gal.

Great job! I love the noises the animals make when you click on them.

I like the whole game concept and gave a good review of it on the other thread.

Thanks so much for the positive review. I am quite new to the forum thing...looks like maybe this discussion should move to the Official Hidden In Time-Mirror Mirror Thread. Sorry if I've confused things, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now...almost as fun as the games!!

As for the animal sounds, as I said on the other thread, one lady thought she had run over her cat with her roller chair! She said once her heart started again...she had a a good laugh!

Well, I haven't responded until now because I have been too busy playing your game today. smile

I've had a lot of fun with this game so far; I loved the scene in the moat. smile The items to find, in general, are more interesting and imaginative than many other HO games I have played. I also like the way that when you skip one of the mirror puzzles, it shows you the solution; this is great for those of us who are interested in trying to figure out the puzzles on our own the second time around (some of the mirror puzzles I managed, some I did not).

I also appreciate the fact that thus far I have found no typos or misspelled words whatsoever, as this is becoming an all-too-frequent occurrence in games I have played of late---so, great job! The game, as a result, feels a lot more polished than some other HOGS.

And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fact that this game will have a special place in my heart due to the fact that it involves Marian/Marion. laugh It's so nice to see my name pop up in something other than a reference to Maid Marian of Robin Hood fame or Marian the Librarian from the movie The Music Man (boy, was I teased about that a lot when I was a kid!). So, this game will always stand out for me for this personal reason. smile

My suggestion for your next game would be to make it a little more interactive; the mirror shards and keys and the storyline are all geared in that direction, and that's great--it makes the game a lot more interesting..I would say the more of that you can do in future efforts, the better. thumbsup

Now, back to the game...I've been playing it off and on all day. smile

sorry it's a long URL, but think this is what you want.

Keep going, the feeling great at the end.

Thanks for the link.
One more question - is here a Walkthrough available for this game?

Don't know, but it does not need one,
or as yet, I have not needed one.
