Hi Suzie! In an interview i did with Aaron Conners in August he said this about a new Tex game, if they had the chance to do it (which seems to be the case now): "Well, I think we would need to pick the story up where we left off." At the same time they actually already solved the cliffhanger. I don´t know if you heard of the Tex Murphy Radio Theatre from a couple of years back. It´s six audio episodes of Tex Murphy, taking place after the ending of Overseer, as far as i remember .

Jack, Thanks so much for the Tex Murphy Radio Theater link. Going there brought bak some fond memories of my early game playing days. Under a killing Moon got me hooked on AG and Tex Murphy. I remember playing Killing Moon until well into the morning knowing I had to get up and go to work just a few hours later....they just don't make games like that any more.

I am shouting for joy! I have been waiting for this game since I first heard about it last year. Counting down the days until May 6 to buying digital download. Does anyone know if Interact will also have this game to purchase the hard copy of it? What about Adventureshop does anyone know if they will also have it for download? As for Fedora, and one of my old time favorites Tex Murphy series, I really hope Tex Murphy will return, another purchase I will gladly make.

One can assume that Three Cards to Midnight will only be released as a download considering that the game play is estimated to be 7-8 hours (upped from original estimate of 6). Also it looks as if they are already working on the next installment, Three Cards to Dead Time. Chris and Aaron have also mentioned that if the sales of Three Cards is good that they will have enough funds then to produce another Tex Murphy and that it most likely will not be a Full Motion Video game as the others. The download of Three Cards seems to make perfect sense as this would probably get more cash in their hands quicker for other projects. Just like the Agon series started maybe they will release a boxed edition after 3 episodes if all goes well. I am curious as to how much they will be asking for such a short game. At any rate I am planning on supporting Chris Jones and Aaron Conners in the hopes that another Tex Murphy can be developed. EDIT: This is taken from the games New Web site. What kind of game is Three Cards to Midnight? TCM is a new style of game with elements of traditional adventure games and casual games built around a compelling story experience. The game is for PC and will be available initially as a download. Plans to offer a special boxed edition and, possibly release on other platforms, are being discussed. See the "Game Features" section on our home page for story details and other game information.

Trinny3 I wouldn't celebrate quite yet about a boxed release as it may not be up to the developer. Here is what Aaron Conners said in a reply on their Forum to this question: As we mentioned in the FAQ's in the "About" section, the plan has always been to offer the game (at least initially) as a download only. At the disgression of our distribution partner(s), a boxed version could be released some time later. Typically, this depends on how successful the game is and if the distributor believes that their COG's would be justified.
We would love to have a boxed version of our game, but the most important thing (at least for us) has been to get a good game developed and published...even if it's not "real". I prefer boxed copies myself. The only downloaded games I have played were the first 3 Agons @ $4.95 apiece. I will be downloading Three Cards. Personally, I am guessing that there won't be a boxed version if this is a series and each release is short. Just doesn't look to be profitable that way. Unless of course they do what the Agon series did as I explained above. Besides if the Three Cards bring in enough cash, how long will they continue with them if they dive into a series of Tex Murphy adventures. Which I hope those to be full games and released on disk.

Maybe more than one place Skeeter by the looks of this released info: April 19th, 2009 Three Cards to Midnight available May 6!
Three Cards to Midnight is finally ready for release! The game will be available for download on May 6 (yes, 2009). Check back after May 1 to get the specific location(s) where the 3CM can be downloaded!

Shadow Seems to me that Aaron Conners answered your query about DRM on their Forum and did not refuse to answer your question. Simply stated, it is not up to the developer but up to the distributer or distributors that will be offering the game for download. AC wrote: DRM is TBD. It may depend on which site you buy the game from.

3 Threads or 3 games now with 6 postings about DRM. Aside for Trading Post and comment about the review - it is all about DRM. As I mentoned - we already know how you feel about DRM. So please, let it lie. As for your comment about developers, can I ask if you have experience being a developer; the making and the selling of the games. That might be a better input. I apologize for the hijacking this thread. Please let us get back now to the game itself - 3 Cards to Midnight.

GreyFuss,
Thank you for that information and clarafication. I had some how missed that new trailor. The trailor and screenshots for Three Cards to Midnight look very good with a good story. Maybe at some point in the future they will do a box version like Agon did.
