Hi maxcat, You can only move the farmost right number of any row. Place that across into a different row and then you are able to move the one previously to its left. You'll find that you can only place one number at a time in the top and bottom row, but multiple numbers in the rows immediately above and below the main number line.

The spectacles are somewhere on the same desk as where you picked up the note and the large bottle, maxcat. Check your inventory in case you already picked them up without realising.

Yes, the safe is in the master bedroom. It will appear automatically (Watson is there and will shout for Holmes) once you have completed everything else that needs doing in the house up to that point.

You'll also have to look at everything outside as well. I was stuck at this very same point and finally resorted to a walkthrough (which still didn't help). I thought I’d thoroughly examined everything outside and was quite surprised when I took another look at an item I’d already seen and it had a little something extra.
I just replayed the game last week – and yep… stuck at the same spot again… At least it didn’t take days to figure out this time. This is one of the few areas I thought was unfair. The game could have just as easily progressed without the additional information.

How about the blood on the ground by the pond-fountain outside? You want a saved game? I have to check if I have one. I sent you one from the remastered version. The safe is seen. I found the original version and sent you a saved game on that one also.

I don't have the sedative for the needle, and can't get back to where it's supposed to be. This is the BFG remastered. What can I do?

There's a ramp at the docks with one riverboat to the left of it, and the Louisiana Nymph to its right. You'll be able to board the riverboat from that main ramp.
