JennyP, I checked the Gamezebo walkthrough and it talks about a puzzle in which you only get a new piece when you place the one of the cursor correctly. It also talks about picking up and using but I didn't see anything else about the Musician's room. Have you been in more than one Musician's room?

Oh dear. Help. I have the item you mentioned L4L, but if I click on it I cannot pick it up, drag it or anything. I tried clicking on the item, then the chest on the bed with no joy. I have tried right clicking, left clicking, dragging & cursing.
Can anyone tell me precisely how to open the chest with the item?

JennyP, the WT specifically says "lower left side" of the chest. Have you tried it there?
