In my opinion: Both games have psychological depth in the story. The first's story was more visible because it was shorter and laid out simpler. The second was longer, have continuous puzzles which tended to distract away from the overall premise. It tended to just think of the now conundrum one is facing. Although, I don't usually get tense on timed puzzles but 2 of those affected me on SL2 because a life depended on my actions. I wanted to end the torture so bad. Some of the puzzles on SL2 reminded me of The Messenger, Broken Sword... Both games are definitely not for the faint of heart. It is a definite thriller of a game.

I'm in the process of playing SL2 and loving it. I haven't ran into the timed puzzles yet but it keeps you on your toes. Get good at it. That's my goal. Great game...Hope they keep coming!

So seems like most people like it although not crazy about it... Good enough. What I liked most about the first one is the atmosphere and the characters and story (definitely not for the puzzles in this game!) I'll get it after mid-exams are over :-)
There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.
