Does it really look like downloading games will be the wave of the future? I sure hope not. I like have a boxed game I can keep on the shelf to play another time. Or, sell it to someone like on Ebay or here.
I see that Still Life 2 is a download. Will this be out as a boxed game eventually? I am so disappointed to see this.
What are your thoughts?

Thank you, JMartin! I sure appreciate the news Great. I wonder if we will see an anouncement here at GB for the boxed version.

Cissy, we have had many discussions regarding downloading vs. boxes. I'd rather not rehash them, since the discission always ends up the same. In regards to Still Life there are also mumerous posts regarding the boxed copy, including one a few days ago Here. The boxed will be out in the US in August. Ana

Aha! Another reason for the download trend that I didn't know about. Thanks for the information, gamenut. I think this is pointing to the wave of the future.
To love is to be happy with!

I'd like to add my comment on dowloading games. I had not really realized it but many of the new 'mini-notebooks' don't come with a dvd/cd drive! So only way to put a game on is to download it-or install one from one of those tiny gizmos i think is called a 'jump drive?'..they connect to a USB port on the notebook. I think that is another reason for making downloading available to those who need it. You can buy external CD/DVD drives that attach to the computer via USB, so that isn't a problem. A bigger problem is whether a game will work with whatever the "mini-notebook" is using for a video card.

I know there has been many discussions regarding download, but since I didn't contribute there, I just want to add my voice to the guys that still prefer discs. I don't know how I'm going to manage to wait so long for Still Life 2, though..
My bandwidth is so expensive, that just the bandwidth alone for a 3.7 Gigabyte download, is going to cost me about $25.00. That does not even take into account the price of the game itself.
(Yup, my bandwidth costs around $7 per Gig)
