Hi, dogpenny. You don't click on the panel to get a rope to come down. When you get the eye cursor on a panel, clicking will get a comment from Thomas saying whether that rope is sabotaged or not. When he says that the rope isn't tied to a pillar, look directly down at Thomas' feet and you will see the tail end of a rope coming out of one of the Hydras. That is the rope (three of them) that you need to pull.

Hope this helps. Dave

I am making the poison for Kordax I dont have Ashod resin Grey nuggets is its place on the shelf instead and there is no formula for this resin. Can I use the grey powder in its place?\

Here's how to test for ashod resin:

Good day:
Empty bowl and fill it with water. Add 1 handful of Mitanna gum, 2 handfuls of Arsawa powder, 2 handfuls of Pitasa gum and 1 handful of grey nuggets powder.
If correct, Thomas will say: I identified one of the constituents. The bowl will then be labeled.

Ashod resin-Ataniya roots (Bad day):
Read the Prusias properties scroll that states that Ataniya roots and Ashod resin possess similar properties. Read the Zoilos reactions scroll to identify Ataniya roots.
Empty bowl and fill it with water. Add 1 handful of Kerma powder, 2 handfuls of Arsawa powder, 2 handfuls of Pitasa gum and 1 handful of grey powder.
If correct, Thomas will say: I identified one of the constituents. The bowl will then be labeled.

The soothing balm scroll was in the same basket as the fillets of dried fish.

luck

If so I have to go aaaallll the way back and do this part all over again? What beam do I pick up and when?

It all still depends on if you're having a Good or Bad day. smile

Good day - the drain is already unblocked so just pull up the sluice gate at the top of the overflow.
Bad day - you can find the beam at the left of the platform with the 3 astrological instruments.

It's not really a valve but that is what it's called in the game.

You have the box filled with water.
You attach that pipe-mortarboard tube to the side of that filled water container.
There is a sort of wood plate between the tube and the box - raise or lift that up so that water flows in the tube.

Couple of things dogpenny:

Have you lit both fire boxes?

Have you already put some coal in? Each firebox will only take four or five shovels.

Hope this helps. Dave

dogpenny, have you done this yet:

Pull the handle bar over the furnace and the other handle bar over the coal-heliolites on the left. This will vent the smoke out. Go back outside and go to the Horus and Anubis statues across the mausoleum. Remove the cover of the vents to release the smoke outside.
