I'm finding this game to be deceptively difficult. Anyway, I have the key from the puzzle on the stairway and it will not work on the crest door. I can't find the gold book near the mantle in Nancy's room. (per walkthru) I'm having trouble setting time and alarm so I can get things MOVING. Thank you !

While you're examining the crest on the fireplace (get as close as you can), pan to your left and see if you can spot the gold book. The key that you picked up from the stairway puzzle won't fit the crest door, try somewhere else.

To set the clock: Click on ALARM, use the arrows to set the time to whatever you want, and press SET.
