Should I buy the UK edition or wait for the US edition?

The reason why I can't decide is buying the UK edition will be costly. Here are my estimates:

$50 for a PC game is a little too much to pay. Furthermore, games are sold on par in Canada, for example, I can buy Art of Murder in Walmart for C$19.83 and the game is sold at US$19.99 in the US.

I don't even know if Secret Files 2 will be available in the US. I want to play this game but I can't decide if I should spend $50 for the game now or take a chance and wait and see if it will be available in the US

Hi Roll, I live in Canada. I looked up Secret files 2 on Amazon.ca, and they don't even have it listed, so I just ordered it from Dave at Interact. I DId order Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper from Amazon.ca and also pre-ordered Still Life 2 from them. They are giving me a date of June3-9 for Jack the Ripper, but no date as yet for still life 2. I also would rather pay without the exchange rate, but what can you do when these games have been on my "want to have " list for ages.

Thanks for the great tip, Doreen. I didn't know Amazon.ca has Still Life 2 and I am going to pre-order Still Life 2 from Amazon.ca. I think I will buy Sherlock Holmes vs Jack The Ripper from Walmart to keep Walmart stocking up their PC games shelf. It will be a disaster if Walmart stop selling PC games due to poor sales. Becky, yes, I wish they would give an indication when Secret Files 2 will be released. The US has a bigger population than the UK and thus is a bigger market, I do wonder their business decision to cater to the UK market first, if not the same time. I think I may have to skip lunch for a week to come up with the cash to order the game from Dave.

If I did my conversion rate correctly the 12.89GBP equates to around $20USD. If this is correct and they do not charge for shipping intenationally that's a deal of the century and one I can't pass up. My math is kind poor so someone please check my conversion figures.

SharonB, Very glad I asked the question and you answered. sendit.com is just the store with the best price. It charges £1.60 for shipping to USA/Canada but the total costs is still very low compared to what I thought I need to pay. See calculations below.

Yes, I'm currently wrestling with the credit card issue there. Don't make me use Verify by Visa! Just shoot me instead.

What is "bad" about Verify by Visa? Just curious... I had to use it once, not by choice but the store forced me to, and the sale did get through with some clicks...

Centrino -- I think I must have an allergy to it. Either that, or it rejects me for purely personal reasons. On Gamers Gate, when Verify by Visa rejects me, I can never figure out how to then go back and complete the sale.
