Rusty,

Be sure that you distinguish zero and the letter 'o'.

Copy paste the code on each of the boxes.
Then go back to the first box and erase the number there and type it in.
See if you can get a 'next' at bottom right.
Then see if the activation goes through.
Try that and see.

Hi Becky

Hope I get the activation problem worked out too! I really wanted to play this game! If I can't get the problem solved, the boxed game should be in my stores soon and I'll just run over and buy another copy.

Rusty

Hi Mag!

The Activation code I received didn't have any zero's or letter o's, and I did copy and paste what was given to me. I only saw one box to paste the code in. Is there more than one box? I'm wondering if what I got was a serial number and not the activation code. I think I may have tried to activate the game too many times and now it won't go through at all. I may just end up waiting until it hits my stores and go buy a copy and start all over. Not to sure I want to download any more games from the Adventure Shop now after this experience. Oh Well -- live and learn

Rusty

Just received an email from Dave but he signed it "Just Adventure." Has Interact now become part of JA or is it just that the shipment is coming from JA rather than Interact? Or have I missed something along the way?

Hm...AdventureShop stopped me during the process of buying this game as a Download, I think due to my European IP-Adress...

Interesting, BigFish accepted me, when I bought "The Awakened (Remastered)" from their US-Website...I think that's odd...

Rusty and GabrielK,

Please mail your ordering details (e-mail used to order the game) to me and I will send it on to Damon.
He will check support directly and will get back to you.
luck

Not sure I'll get to play this game until it comes to my stores, and I re-buy it. Hopefully that won't be too long!

Hello Rusty,

Thank you for choosing The Adventure Shop.

Did you download the french or the english version?
How many times have you attempted to activate the code?

I need to get your TAS account details, and check what has happened with your version and your activation key. Are you connected to the internet when you activate your version? It is a requirement.

PLease send to MAG all accounts details, and I'll investigate for you with our tech support.

Damon

Adorable, The JA store is not really a JA Store, it is actually Dave @ Interact. He probably thought you ordered through JA and therefore signed it differently. Same place....

Adorable -- both GameBoomers and Just Adventure have an affiliation with Interact. If you click on the banner near the top of the page here on GB, your order is, in a sense, "credited" to GB, and the site receives a percentage of the sale. Just Adventure (I assume grin) has a similar arrangement.

I received an email from Dave at Interact yesterday and it didn't mention Just Adventure. Maybe you were visiting Just Adventure, and then decided to order the game, and since you linked in from JA, Interact registered that fact?

Ooops! Hi Ana! wave

Hello Gabriel,

What do you mean by "stopped you in the process"?

We do not have any IP restriction, unless it is required by the developer or the publisher.
Sherlock Holmes is available worldwide.

Thank you

Damon

Sorry, "Stopped me" was a little harsh...

What I meant was, when I enter me CreditCard-Details and click on "Confirm Payment", nothing happens...no Error message or something like this....:-(

You need to use the Euro website and pay in Euros, not dollars like the other Europeans do.

So much fo the Globalization...even purchasing "3 cards to midnight" online from the developer's US-Site was no problem...

So Europeans have to pay more, that stinks...sorry...

Hi GabrielK, it seems that the cost of downloading the game from the European site of The Adventure Shop is a hefty ÂŁ29.99 - the top price for a boxed game in the UK! But Frogwares have quickly followed with production of boxed copies so you do have a choice of ordering from Interact at a price of $19.95 + shipping (which is always reasonable!)

"So Europeans have to pay more, that stinks...sorry..."

It would be better if you considered the angle that "North Americans pay less"! & accepted that developers need the higher remuneration commanded for games sold in Europe to keep going & would lose a substantial part of income from NA if they were to charge European prices there. As far as I know Frogwares are based in Europe & therefore probably have higher costs of production.

"So much for the Globalization...even purchasing "3 cards to midnight" online from the developer's US-Site was no problem..."

I would guess that for an independant developer it would be easier just to offer one price & possibly they are restricted from 'tiered selling'? But as far as I know 3 Cards to Midnight can be downloaded from Big Fish for as litle as $6.99, if you have full membership (+ a bit of tax for some of us)?

Anyway, this game is superb & worth the top price! thumbsup

Chrissie, I couldn't say it better, and thanks a lot for the kind words about the game.

I know, and if you have read one of my earlier posts in this thread you should have known that I used the US-Bigfish-Site for purchasing "The Awakened (Remastered)", so whats your point ?

Games are available at various price points because the situation varies from continent to continent, or developer to developer, or publisher to publisher or portal to portal.

Everybody's just trying to do the best they can!

Excuse me GabrielK, I was just trying to point out why there are different prices in different parts of the world.

It's great that Shelock Holmes The Awakened turned up on Big Fish Games - it's a great game! I believe that if you do not have a membership it will cost you $20.00 for the game - exactly the same price for 3 Cards to Midnight which costs the same if you buy it directly from the developer.

"so whats your point ?" I do hate to be quoted out of context GabrielK & was just trying to be informative & helpful as to why you have to pay more for a new game along with how you can get that cheaper along with others you mentioned! smile

N.B. I'm certainly very grateful to being able to buy games cheaply from the US that are not always released in Europe. Or, even beforehand although I do try and hang on in there for a European release. Also, Big Fish is NA based? otherwise it would cost a lot more for all the great adventures that are being offered at a low cost! smile

FYI, all games are 6.99 on BigFish now, regardless if you opt in the Club membership.

I ordered as I always do from Interact through the link at the top of the page. I was just curious why the email came as it did. I don't order from anywhere except Big Fish and Interact. If I can't buy from the stores in my area or from another Boomer I don't buy.

Adorable -- if you ordered from the link at the top of the page, then I can't explain what happened. It's extremely odd! duh

Just wanted to let everyone know that I picked up my boxed version of Sherlock on May 23rd at Target. I'm based in the U.S. (actually bought it in Florida)...so it's been out for a few days now, at least, for in-store purchase. So excited to play! (p.s.--this is my first post)
