In the night at the church I can't get my mouse to move fast enough to get the five plants implanted on the door.I've tried many many times. Anybody have a saved game after the door? I'll be grateful forever!

I have to call the police to tell therm the Northfield skeleton is Alastair Farleigh. There's some sort of glitz on my software and when making the call on day 5 the skeleton is not exorcised so I can't proceed. Any saved game just after that call would be relished with joy!

How do you know he is not exorcised?
It might be best to replay the phone call.

I replayed the call and re-installed the game. When the ghost is exorcised, I am sure it should tell you-there's no dialogue with the call and I can't proceed to meet Lucy- she is not on the bench.

Sorry about the threads- I am new here and not too tuned in.

Check to see if there's anything else you might have missed doing prior to the phone call. Did you read the newspaper and the letter back at the cottage? Did you visit the beach and speak with Nanny Noah, the policeman, the detective, and everyone you can find in the town? See then if Lucy is back on the bench to talk to.

I've talked to everybody but will back track and try again. I will be a basket case if I can't finish this game!

It's an anomaly- I've had this sort of thing happen in other games. The phone booth isn't triggering the presence of Lucy on the bench. I went back a long ways and carefully followed the superb MaGtRo walkthrough to the letter, step by step, but when I get to the phone booth the skeleton isn't exorcised and there is no dialog. The trigger mechanism here isn't working and I don't think there is any way around the problem.

I sent you 2 saves one before at starts of Day 5 and one much late on the second visit to Pinnacle. Hopely one of them will get you going.

I am sure your wonderful saves will get me going. "The Lost Crown" is in my opinion one of the greatest games ever. Thank you so very much!

I am going to be an awful pest. The Zip file you sent for "The Lost crown plants on the door" save worked perfectly.The save005.tlc and save004.tlc for the Lost Crown Northfield skeleton will not download as your files. They revert to my files of about 100 KB more so I can tell right away they are not the same files as yours. I took my original 004 and 005 files saves off my set, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, put in your downloaded tlc files, but these are not the files you sent and when running the game I am back to my old problem with the phone booth.I uninstalled a couple of security softwares just in case they were screwing things up. To sum up I can't get your tlc files on here.

You do not need to install or reinstall the game.
Tje last 2 I sent were not zipped.
All you need to do is place them in the TLC folder in My Documents after you have removed your own 4 and 5.
I will send them again. Hopefully they will not be corrupted on the way. Keep me posted.

MaG, your files are getting corrupted. I tried again with the two just sent.For instance, your file save005.tlc 334.7 KB downloads as save005.tlc 446KB.446KB is the KB of my 005 save). When I put your downloaded files into Crown,and plug in the saves after removing my 4 and 5 saves, I don't get your saves because the system didn't download them in the first place.I had reinstalled the game as stated to try and get rid of any trace of my 4 and 5 saves. How your files can revert to mine I can't even imagine but I have not been able to get your saves with the proper KB on my set because they are being aborted at the start.

I mentioned the zip because the zip file worked for the one you sent me for the plants on the door.

The zipped files revert to my saves again not your saves. This is just not solveable and I am sorry to have taken up so much of your time but appreciate your interest and help which are way beyond the usual.(Your Zip file for the plant door worked perfectly).

Your walkthroughs carry me through every game I play and are very impressive. It amazes me that you can figure out a game like "The Lost Crown" ...I played it with your instructions right
in front of my nose until I got to that blasted phone booth. But you got me almost to the end, and anyway I know what happens to Nigel! (I was so happy Mr. Tibbs was safe)!

Remove your saves first from the folder before putting mine inside.
Then see.
If not - replay and play through that glitchy part - it might shake it loose.

MaG, I GOT IT! Instead of calling the crime phone number in the phone booth to report the skeleton identity I was using the Hadden caller card. So the glitch was in this player's mind..I used the crime number and the ghost of Alastair was exorcised right on cue. WHOOHOO!

Glad you found what was holding you back. Have fun now to the end...
