Downloading now. This is a big download so I am anticipating a wonderful game, just like the last one. Buying it sight unseen.

So glad to have Big Fish back again;I missed it! Just one day down and I was going through BF withdrawal. smile

wave Wtg Big Fish on getting us back online so fast.

EDIT #1:Wow! The download is done already! It took about 3-4 minutes on cable connection! I thought it was going to be much longer.

EDIT #2: This game is the BEST. The game instructions are helpful without being obtrusive like they are in some games.
Great graphics, sound, and story line. This one is a sure fire HIT. It starts out pretty easy... but I know it will become very challenging in just a few scenes. I like everything about it. This one is a keeper.

This is a great game, they should really make more of them. The length is about the same as the first one, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

I'm just waiting on a walkthrough to see if the fact that I have 2 unfilled jewels at the end means I missed something (there are no crystals on the tops of the buildings on the map to tell me I missed the crystals there)or if there's a glitch. I do remember that there wasn't a scroll in Venice though.

Hi Guys,

The walkthrough was submitted before the mishap with the servers. I am sure they will post it as soon as everything is back to normal.

Jldcat, if you missed some jewels, you should see a gem on top of the gold buildings. Sometimes exiting the game or going through some of the locations may help bring the gems back up to the main map once you return to it.

Worse comes to worse, go into each location and click on your hint button. The hints will help you find the gems at the end. I don't think your hint depletes itself if there's nothing to find in a particular room but not 100% sure about that.

Good Luck, Margie B

Hi all ~ Doing ok without the walkthrough so far. However, in the Fortune Tellers Cottage I cannot brew the herbs without a fire. I have been desperately looking for the last part of the second key which I presume opens the drawer of the little cabinet there. Anyone know where it is? I clicked everything and the hint "?" points to the cauldron...well yah lol I know that. It doesnt hint as to where that durn part of the key is located. insane

You need the fire poker to start a fire under the cauldron. Then the recipe from the drawer. Then add the ingredients.
This game is far too addictive. Can't tear myself away.

Anyone else having trouble d/l this game? I beta tested it and LOVE kissy it, so I thought I would just buy it,but the d/l said 100% and then bumped back to 5%. I just checked and now it is 4%??? think

The BFG's d/l manager is supposed to just start where it left off so I am puzzled.

Maybe residual of the fire and power failing?

I had this happen to me last night while downloading a different game, so I suspect it has something to do with getting everything straightened out and running properly again; the game was Mushroom Age.

I did manage to download ME 2 last night, but rather than having a speedy download as Sherryah and NYLady mentioned here earlier, mine kept slowing down to a crawl and I had to keep pausing and resuming in order to keep things going. I was of course worried that the same thing that happened to you and what happened to me with Mushroom Age was going to happen with ME 2, but I got lucky and it didn't.

No doubt but that all of this will smooth out as they continue to work on things. I would say to keep trying off and on, and I'm sorry I don't have any better suggestions.

Thanks Marian,
I bought the game and am trying again! thumbsup

Maybe this will get the game. I really want to play it tonight. The fireworks scare my horses, so I stay home with them, but the game will make it fun!!

I'm going to stay home tonight and play this game---that's my idea of a good time. thumbsup

I see that Jenny100 has had the same problems downloading that you and I have had---hopefully persistence will pay off. My other advice is to watch carefully while the game is downloading, and the minute it looks like it is stalling, hit the pause button and then resume...this might keep the download going for you. smile

Jidcat - You're fast playing this game. I just finished it, and it took me 6 hours (but I guess I'm a little slow playing). It's a great game.

I missed a few jewels so went back and used the hint in order to find them. Definitely a game worth playing again.

I have not been able to download this game. I get 2% and then back to 1%. I'll try again later. I never, ever have trouble with BF download so it has got to be the problems they're having right now. sad

I would agree. They also may have a much higher volume of people downloading as well, what with the holiday AND being down for 24 hours. I downloaded ME 2 about 12:30 a.m. this morning and even then it was touch and go.

This is a fantastic game! I admit I miss the fairy tale stories, so for me the storyline of Magic Enclopedia 1 held more interest.

However I love the strange places you find the items and the way they are used. Some graphic screens can really be cluttered but thats ok because a gauge of a hint meter refills quickly enough it doesn't bother me when I can't find an object.

Beware the game is extreamly addicting like another GB said. Once you start the game not easy to stop and eat or do ordinary things like take care of your household responsibilites. Thats why we are having fish and chips delivered to my house tonight! lol

As for the fast download I had, I guess the truth is since I am on European time I must have hit the server when hardly anyone else was on because they didn't know BFG Website was online again. I am sorry for those who are having problems downloading the game, but I think you will find it is worth your frustrations. Like others I also bought it immediatly.

One extra good thing about the game, if your stuck on a mini game you can skip it when the hint meter gets filled. I had to skip some math puzzles in regards to pouring fluids into one another to make a certain amount of a liter. I hate puzzles of this sort.

I did manage to get it downloaded eventually. The download had a lot of times where it stopped, with no progress showing. But eventually it would start up again and download a little more. But it spent more time stopped than it did downloading. It took a LOT longer than it usually does to download a game -- and it was not just this game (Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light) that was affected. I actually had worse problems downloading Pahelika, where the download restarted itself about 6 times.

In the past my Big Fish game downloads would have no stopped times, though the download speed might vary a little.

I'm sure Big Fish are doing their best, and it's fortunate they have a backup site they could get working within a day or so, even if it doesn't have the bandwidth of their regular site. I hope Fisher Plaza is repaired quickly though. I feel bad for any internet companies that didn't have a backup site, and may go out of business because of the fire.

My download went just fine, but during play it seems to freeze up in between scenes, does this happen to anyone else?

It's such a great game! thumbsup

Hi Margie, I did what you suggested and I'm still left with 2 empty jewels and no scroll in Venice. Is there supposed to be a scroll in Venice or is that the last level before the end game part?

Missed three jewels and when clicked on the map, had three locations with a blue gem over them. Needed hint on two of the locations.

Never resist a generous impulse.

Hi jldcat, There is no scroll in Venice. Does your PC have XP or Vista. Did you find the red jewel on the red chair in the magician's house. The 2 red gems on the red statues in the Mayan location (not the observatory, the outside part)?

Let me know,

Thanks, Margie B

Just finished the game and thought it was great. Challenging to find the objects for sure which I like and took me quite a while to complete the game:)

A hint at another sequel there at the end too? smile
